Great property hanging on the side of the hill, great views, beautiful gardens and pool. What really makes this the best is Giovanna, our host. She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. You should see how much trouble she goes to in presenting local specialties for breakfast. Incredible, beyond words. Only small complaint was lack of sound proofing in rooms and hallways. Only four rooms though, so noise is usually just temporary. Would highly recommend and will return. Exactly as described, but Giovanna makes it soooooo much more.

We loved every single thing about Casa Gelsomino. Very easy to park in Ragusa Ibla following their instructions and incredible to be literally minutes from the Duomo and centre of Ragusa Ibla. The 2 rooms we had were quiet with balconies and great showers, there are only 4 so it will never be crowded. The garden is something else..... have to see it to believe it and fabulous views over the beautiful baroque town. And the wonderful breakfast that was different each day was definitely the best we had in Sicily. Fresh Ricotta made that morning, local salamis, cheese, fruit, breads, croissants and homemade jams and pistacchio cream and a wonderful homemade cake too. In fact we bought a couple of jars of their homemade pistachio cream to take home as it was sooo good! We loved sight seeing and walking back to relax in the jacuzzi and cool down in the wonderful pool. The hosts were so friendly and we got by with my basic italian and her basic english. And we were given great ideas for restaurants and things to visit. Utterly sublime and we will DEFINITELY return. Thank you!!!

We stayed in 10 hotels/b&b’s during our time in Sicily and many were lovely but La Casa Del Gelsomino stood out from the crowd. The room & bathroom were nice sizes and very comfortable. We had a little balcony with 2 chairs and a table overlooking the garden & pool and city view. Breakfast was delicious with many home made and local made treats. Giovanna goes out of her way to be helpful. The garden is lovely & relaxing. The pool an absolute delight. We didn’t have time to use the hot tub. Easy walking from the B&B to anywhere. Highly recommend. (Our GPS did not properly direct us to the property so I’ll include here that you need to drive on what looks like a pedestrian street through the main town square under a tunnel and follow the street around a curve one block up. It is really easy but didn’t seem so the first time we did it. )

We had the best time, Lisa and Jane provide the best and biggest breakfast we have ever tasted in Sicily, the vegan breakfast is a must. Lovely people who are always smiling and happy to chat and share local knowledge. The property outside is the best bit - beautiful gardens, pool, jacuzzi, with chillout areas. Breakfast is served outside too overlooking the valley with spectacular views. Perfect location in old Ragusa, only a short walk to the main square.

It is a little paradise. The outside area is beautiful with the cool bathing pools. There is also a warm hot tub. Our room was medium size with nice bathroom with electric toilet/bidet! Lovely seating, hammock, shade if needed. The breakfasts are a work of art. Christina makes a big effort to make something slightly different each day. We had different cheeses. local ricotta in bamboo baskets, garlic rolls,sun dried tomatoes and olives. There's croissants and pastries. Christina makes a different cake or dessert to finish. She is very friendly and helpful.

You can't park outside and need to park up the hill but not a big deal.

We loved staying at La Casa del Gelsomino. What made it extra special for us was the charming Giovanna. Yes, there were all the necessities... a comfortable bed, free WiFi, pool, heated toilet seat.😉 Being greeted by Giovanna every morning with her beautifully prepared breakfasts, enjoyed in the garden complete with magnificent view, discussing our plans for the day, made our stay in Ragusa Ibla extra special. Organisational things like help with parking, self check in, maps and tourist suggestions also helped. Thanks Giovanna.

What a gem! Situated in Ragusa old town just minutes away from the square this bed and breakfast was outstanding. Smallish rooms but large communal areas to relax and enjoy the gardens and stunning views. They have a small pool to cool off in and a jacuzzi! The breakfast served every morning was delicious and every day there was a surprise dessert. Amazing! Highly recommend as it was one of our favourite accommodations whilst travelling through Europe.

The B&B is fantastic. Our rooms were lovely as is the garden area and pool especially since it was so hot! The breakfast is a treat for the taste buds as well. What makes it extra special are the family who run it. Carmela, her sister Giovanna and niece Leisa. They went out of their way when Aul had to go to hospital for stitches in his foot. Can’t thank them enough. Preggio 🙏

Leaving. Ragusa is lovely after the business of some other towns in Sicily.

The host and her daughter were very friendly, cordial and helpful with all questions. Breakfast was always delicious and served in the garden. Be sure to leave room for dessert though as it is the finale of the breakfast and is different everyday. The Check in and out process was easy with good communication beforehand on the step by step process for parking and finding the room. Overall my favorite stop in Sicily.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The whole set up was amazing. The gardens with the pond pool and the view were wow. Jacuzzi to top it off even better! We got super clear instructions before arriving and tips of where to park. The location is also perfect for exploring Ragusa Ibla. The breakfast was also out of this world with the garden views. The food was lovingly prepared and explained and delicious coffee included! Will recommend to anyone going to Ragusa!
