Simple breakfast..bread,pastry, cheese and sliced deli meats plus yogurts and various cold cereal. Also nice assortment tea. Coffee and juice machines but no eggs or pancakes. Very close to airport but taxi charged 25 Euros..seemed too costly for such short trip. Large supermarket next door to hotel..picked up some prepared food and ate lunch on picnic table outside front of hotel as restaurant did not open until 7:30 pm

We chose this hotel and location because of its proximity to the airport. Alexander at the hotel was very hospitable and friendly. The rest of the staff as well. I wish I would have remembered all their names. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The only thing that I will complain about was the Taxi service from the hotel to the airport. The driver charged us 20 euros for a mile ride where we paid a lot less for taxi services taking us to further locations during our vacation. Definitely stiff price and he wasn't friendly. We tipped all the other drivers with the exception of this guy who didn't even assist with our luggage while all the other drivers did.

Great experience staying at Hotel Major. Everyday I was greeted by the staff with big smiles and they were very accommodating and kind(thank you to Valentina and Suzie). The food at the restaurant was amazing, everyday they had a different menu so lots of variety. The room was comfortable and clean, the hotel has a gym and good parking facilities. Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect.

I arrived very late, but checking in was no problem and the receptionist gladly gave me a drink at the bar. Very nice people, nice and large room. And everything was clean and smooth.

I had breakfast included. It was 'ok', but not the best and most elaborated breakfast I ever had. Buffet could have been a bit more.

Our room was spacious, though the air conditioner was struggling. Breakfast was very good, very varied and plentiful.

Air conditioning was weak, and our room finally cooled off only during the night. Front desk person called a non-local taxi for us to get to the airport, who charged an exorbitant amount as fare. Why didn't he call a local?? We ended up paying way too much.

1. We got 2 rooms, in one of the room part of the lighting did not work 2. Breakfast consists of 2 options: omelette and pancakes, but pancakes was not available for some reason (like they are over). I’m sure that hotel with 4 stars and such a price should handle such cases and provide the similar breakfast quality for all guests

We choose the Major as it was the best priced hotel near the Cruise ship terminal in Monfalcone. After driving from Austria, we just wanted somewhere to get an evening meal, a few drinks and sleep before starting our cruise the next day. This hotel was perfect for that. Free parking direct by the hotel. We had an meal in the restaurant. The food was OK. We were more impressed by the waiter who seemed to be on his own running both the restaurant and the lobby bar - although he had lots to do, he was friendly and very efficient. Breakfast the next day was also good. They even had a choice of eggs, which is not always normal in Italy. The drive to the cruise terminal was easy. Would stay here again if taking another cruise.

Breakfast didn't offer any kind of cheese except the very cheep one wrapped in a plastic foil... That is the only thing that surprised us, since it's a 4 star hotel! Even the lower category hotels offer a variety of cheese, so in a higher category it should be customary... Everything else was great!

Quiet location, very helpful staff, place was clean, loads of TV channels, bathroom was of a good size, everything worked, nice view of the mountains that were far, through the window, and very relatively cheaply priced, very close to the airport, supermarket nearby.

Convenient location near the TRS airport. Very polite and professional team at the front desk. Excellent service and cleanliness of the rooms. The hotel is near a shopping center/supermarket and also has a good restaurant for dinner.
