The hosts were really nice even though one of them (, Sergio) didn't speak much English. He made coffee for us in the morning, which was helpful. We wanted to explore Messina and asked if we could leave our bags and they were able to accommodate this request. They also told us about the noon-time display at the clock tower adjacent to the cathedral. It was a memorable experience.

The elevator (lift) was tiny, but this isn't anything the property owners can change....and there was a lift!! When I booked I didn't realize the property was on the fifth floor.

Very good choice to stay the night after a late or before an early flight (I did both). Spacious, clean room, comfortable bed, good wi-fi and very good breakfast (no hot dishes but a lot of variety otherwise, including fresh fruit). Even though it's close to the train station, there was barely any noise. The building is dated but the rooms appear to have been renovated fairly recently. The hotel arranged for a cab to pick me up from the airport because my incoming flight was scheduled to land after the last bus to town. By the time I got there, the reception had closed, but I had been sent clear information on how to enter the premises and the room. They were very responsive in general. The hotel is half a block from the central train station where you can get a bus to the airport that runs about every 30 minutes. If you drive, there's a big parking lot half a block in the other direction.

I didn't like that I couldn't control the A/C thermostat, but I left the window open for a bit and the breeze was enough to cool the room. Because it was late at night, I chose not to call the front desk about it as it wasn't a big deal.

I actually stayed at the hotel twice in one trip. Once when I arrived at the airport and once on my last day before flying out. I have already reviewed it for the first night so I will just say again that it's a very good choice to stay the night after a late or before an early flight. some of the most wonderful people run the hotel. Great breakfast and a good location - a mere 4-6 min drive from the beach and walking distance to a couple of cafes. Also a mere 4 min drive to the airport.

the walls are as thin as it gets, which was tolerable during the week I stayed there. However, during my last night, there was so much noise in the hallway and stairway, as though people were moving furniture, well into the night. I ended up getting no sleep before my early morning flight the next day.

2 minutes walk from station.aircon/heating remote controller.They ordered a taxi for 4 am to the airport (10€) which came on time.There is a supermarket within 100 meters.There is also a restaurant open until midnight with good pizzas and Scottish beers less than 100 meters away (marys bar).

What's not to like at £50?

The location is super close to the main train station (Lamezia Terme Centrale), like a 30 second walk. The room was clean and spacious. For the price paid I would stay again before taking a flight from the airport. There is a free parking lot right next to the hotel and I had no issue finding space there for my car.

Just an FYI if you arrive in evening, there are few restaurants in the area. I had to drive elsewhere to eat.

Great location close to the airport. Our flight was very late at night and we opted to start travelling to Tropea the following morning. The front desk, Roberto was very helpful, booked us a taxi to get us from the airport and also was available late when we arrived. Check-in and check-out were fast and simple. Room big and clean and very comfortable bed,

The gentleman who greeted us and checked us in was amazing. I'm not sure of his name but I think it was Domenico. He went above and beyond. On departure, the lady working (maybe the owner) offered us coffee and was very friendly and nice. The location was perfect as well.

Nothing. In a perfect world, an elevator might have been nice, but this is reality.

Very convenient for the airport. We were a bit concerned about parking overnight as the surrounding area is not so nice, but the hotel reception lady reassured us and indeed we had no issues. Room was nice a clean and bathroom was great. Only slight criticism would be that some of the decor was damaged and would be good if it was replaced or repaired.

Not the nicest area so wasn’t much to see while walking outside.

Very clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. A secure parking garage was recommended just around the corner as the hotel doesn't have its own car park. A few straightforward places to eat close by, we went to Pane e salsiccia - great food.

The location is close to the station so it isn't picturesque - but we would stay here again and it felt perfectly safe.
