The host Vittorio was exceptionally helpful and kind in recommending restaurants and things to do. He also kindly booked for us - getting us lovely tables and helping with our hopeless Italian. The setting was beautiful and it was so lovely to come back from the day out and relax with the pool. Breakfasts were delicious with a very happy kind service

A little more information on how things work would assist. So we didn't know we could borrow glasses for wine or where to hang things to dry. Little, not material things, but just make the stay even more enjoyable. The walk back up the hill after dinner was pretty steep so you need to be fit enough for that Or take the car - only 6 minutes

Vittorio, the man who manages this property is it's best asset, then a close second, comes the pool, gardens and view from the pool area out to the ocean. Breakfast which was included, can be cooked (cooked prosciutto and scrambled eggs) or continental (yoghurt, cakes, toast, cold meats and cheese) or a combination, with juice and coffee. It is served by a lovely lady out near the pool and view. We had no car but there was plenty of parking available. Vittorio picked us up from the station, took us to the historic centre at night and returned us to the station! He also made a terrific restaurant recommendation for dinner in the historic centre square and another for lunch at one of the beach lidos.

We were a little surprised that the property was not as close to the historic centre as we had anticipated. It is definitely walking distance but is on a hill with a zig zag road walk down (and of course up) and then along the road to the historic centre and up the hill where the centre sits or to the beach. We walked down but at night chose to get a taxi home which was 20 euro (one way). We are 65 and 74 years old. Was there anything we "didn't like", no. We had a terrific time and ended up staying 2 nights!

Vittorio's residence was an absolute delight, completely justifying our visit. Nestled atop a hill, the property offered breathtaking sea views that were truly awe-inspiring. It was a sanctuary of tranquility where relaxation was unavoidable. The swimming pool was immaculate, adding to the overall charm and allure of the place. We found ourselves so enchanted by the allure of our surroundings that we extended our stay beyond what we had originally planned. Indeed, our stay here has been nothing short of spectacular.

Vittorio who runs La Suite del Faro was a great host. He was extremely attentive, picked us up from the train station free of charge, and gave us a free room upgrade as there weren’t many guests staying at this time. He really made our stay. A lovely breakfast, and fantastic view of Scalea from the B&B.

The Suite is a fair walk down to town if you don’t have a car like us, but still manageable for those who are keen to be out and about!

Where do we start. For starters Vittorio Was extremely professional and helpful all the way to the property. The reception was magnificent. We were treated to cold water and food instructions for what to expect next morning during breakfast. The property is immaculate from the yard to the bathroom. Everything is completely up-to-date. Extremely comfortable mattress and fluffy pillows made our stay for the one night magnificent. Even though we arrived a bit late we were able to get in the pool which was very refreshing and on our wish list as we had been driving for quite a while. He gave us towels for the pool and told us we could use it as long as we wanted to. The property has a magnificent view of the ocean and you can hear the waves and feel the breeze. Fast forward to the morning and we were treated to a magnificent breakfast which way enjoyed very much. Before our sendoff Vittorio even gave us extra water for the trip. This is definitely a property we’re coming back to the next time we expect to spend more days. For anyone looking for an amazing property in Scale look no further. This is it

Vittorio couldn't have been more helpful. La Suite del Faro looked good online and exceeded expectations. To be able to walk out the room straight on to the terrace by the pool was a treat. The poolside loungers were a perfect place to soak up the autumn rays and relax and read my book after a quick dip in the pool. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

What's not to like - it was perfect.

It’s a lovely place, the rooms are modern and nicely done out. The pool is better than I had expected and Vittorio is a fantastic host. La Suite del Faro is up a serious hill and that cuts both ways: The views are great, it’s in a quiet neighbourhood and there’s a cooling breeze. The hill however is an issue if you want to walk home after dinner, but all’s not lost; Vittorio recommended an excellent seafood restaurant which provided us with a lift home, so problem solved.

The water pressure in the shower was a bit low. Our bed sagged a bit in the middle. Unless, you’re a real Princess and the Pea you shouldn’t let the sagging put you off - and for all we know, the other beds may be perfect!

Loved the glorious view and the spacious garden. Beautiful indoor spaces, too. Host and helpers were friendly and professional; eager to help. The location was convenient, too. We could walk to most of the places we wanted to go.

I can't say there was anything we didn't like.

Everything! Our host Vittorio was kind and helpful before we even arrived. The property sits above the town and the views are just spectacular. Our room opened onto the pool and terrace where we watched the sunset. The room was beautifully furnished; the bathroom was modern with a fab shower. Vittorio recommended a restaurant Tari which was lovely. The walk down (and back up) was well worth it. Breakfast was American continental. Again nothing was too much trouble. The bacon was delicious! One night wasn’t long enough to enjoy the tranquility of this property. Thank you Vittorio!

Great small hotel, high up in Scalea overlooking the ocean. We walked to the city centre in less than 20 minutes and the beach was even closer. In end of March we were the only guests in the hotel, but still well taken care of.

Only one small detail. We had booked breakfast to 8.30. It would have felt nicer and more welcoming if the table would have been set when we got there. In high season I assume it would have been.
