Beautiful and authentic old hotel with the right maintainace. We paid for the seaview room and it was absolutely worth it, enjoyed the views from the terrace (stunning). Breakfast was good for the hotel level and it was served in a beautiful dining room with an adjhacent terrace. Great location with private parking walking distance from everything in Taormina.

Overall it was expensive, however Taormina overall is overpriced so it was cheaper than other options that I am sure are not as good.

Very warm welcome. We parked at the hotel for free and we walked like 10 mins to the city center, very nice walk through the Villa Comunale park. The hotel is clean, very nice view and good breakfast. The room for the family was big with comfortable beds and nice balcony with amazing view.

A breathtaking view from our room - and indeed, from all parts of the hotel. A very good and imaginative breakfast, including oranges picked in the hotel's lovely garden. There were no facilities for cooked lunch or supper, but one could ask at the bar for a 'sandwich' - a large filled roll.

Our room was basic, redeemed by the balcony.The ten-minute walk up a stony path onto the level to get into town properly was not ideal, but that was our problem as much as the hotel's!

A magical bit of true Sicily. A truly sicilian hotel full of charm that has been in the same family for generations . The views from the hotel rooms are spectacular. Both our daughters and we had the most amazing views. We had room no 1 and it had two small terraces , one to the sea and the gardens and the other to the bay and Mount Etna. It was truly spectacular to wake up to Mount Etna either hiding in the clouds or puffing away. Sebastiano in charge of the breakfast room , who has incidentally been with the hotel for 27 years, was a real treasure. I am vegan and he made sure that every morning I had the most amazing healthy vegan breakfast. He was charming, helpful and just wonderful to all the guests. The rest of the staff were equally great. Seldom have I stayed in a hotel with such a great service attitude. Thank you for a magical couple of weeks with you. We felt totally at home. I highly recommend this hotel.

When you check in after parking in the car park, don’t expect your car to be in the same parking space!!! You have to hand over your keys at reception when checking in. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this as my hired car paintwork was scuffed ( by whom, no one knows). I thoroughly checked the car after checking in and picked what I thought was a safe spot. I reported this to reception as they say they have cctv. Unfortunately they didn’t get back to me with any info !!!!!😡. PS Car was moved twice in 4 days

The hotel was built in 1908 and keeps the ambience of old Sicily. While the rooms are just basic, there is everything you need and very clean. The bar and restaurant areas were beautiful, breakfast was the best we had had in Sicily. Access to the town center was great if you are up for walking steps.

Not sure what the hotel could do about it, but parking was almost scary. We had two large cars for seven people and almost turned back when we saw the parking area, which was straight down a hill with a hairpin curve halfway through. It worked out in the end with help from the hotel staff the first day and then strategic parking the second.

I don't know where to start because our stay at this Hotel was the best time we ever had! The Hotel is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous! Every morning, you can take your breakfast with the sea view and Mama Etna's view. It is a dream and the best thing you can ever see! In the evening, you can stay on your private terrasse, drink a nice bottle of Etna's Wine, and disgust some delicious Sicilian food by appreciating and observing the beautiful view of the sea, Etna, and the stars! The entire Hotel is beautifully decorated. Also, a MASSIVE THANK YOU to every staff at the Hotel because they know how to make your stay the best as possible!

Everything was perfect!

Lovely hotel and stunning views. Older style, really charming. The man in the reception taking care of us at checkin and checkout is the most lovely person. We were allowed to checkin early. All the staff are as lovely. They made sure to assist us by turning our car around at the rather narrow parking area for us. Small refrigerator and also a water boiler in the room. Nice walk down to the lovely beach (but be aware, stairs that get you down the 175 hight meters from the hotel). To walk up would be a struggle, we took the cable car to Taormina and walked from there. The walk to Taormina centrum is done in some 15 minutes (60 hight meters). Lovely breakfast at the nice terrace.

It would be great if the few rooms that do not have their own terrace could have a spot with a few sunbeds to use. Maybe they had one, in that case we did not know. Beds are a bit firm, but ok.

The view was magnificent (we had a room with private balcony and sea view). The restaurant was also magnificent inside and outside. Breakfast very good. The surroundings and decoration was also beautiful and the whole aesthetic was perfect for our taste. Location very good, close to the city centre.

The bathroom could be bigger and some issues with smell could have been resolved. Although the location is amazing, some might fing the noise from a wedding place further underneath annoying. But for us it wasn't a problem and maybe it was that we were there in August, peak time maybe for weddings in Taormina!

Excellent location and incredible view of the sea! Gorgeous flowers everywhere, comfortable bed, a small frig, very helpful staff. The free breakfast is an absolutely amazing! A feast of many wonderful, delicious breakfast foods. desserts & juices - in the gorgeous indoor & out dining area, with beautiful music. Staff will deliver a bottle of wine , with glasses & small snack to your room in the evening! Free parking, also!

Parking is available, though very tight & steep. However, they will park your car for you, which was very helpful, so not really an issue..,
