I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotel Europa and can recommend it. My room was large, comfortable, very quiet and well equipped with plenty of storage space and a large writing table – and bathrobe and slippers. Staff were all exceptionally welcoming, attentive and helpful and offered me a welcome drink. Breakfast was plentiful and offered good choices. Hotel Europa is in a perfect location close to the Aragonese Castle and the Archaeological Museum. It’s a flat 1.9km walk from the railway station, which I did in both directions with my luggage. For more convenience there is a bus stop near the hotel.

Some of the rooms at the hotel are split-level with a steep narrow staircase. Guests with mobility issues may want to request a single-level room at time of booking.

The location and the breakfast is perfect. Our room was pretty large and comfortable with a little balcony overlooking the sea. The reception staff is very friendly. They helped us find an open “rent a car” company during Ferragosto holiday.

There were two bathrooms but one of them had a toilet with a broken flush. However because we had another toilet, it wasn’t a big issue. Also the shower head couldn’t stay still and it was wobbling depending on the water pressure. If you turn on the water too much, the shower head would go up and wet the ceiling. Otherwise the pressure wouldn’t be enough and the shower head would fall down, so you have to be precise with the pressure.

Nice hotel at the channel to the historic city center across the Castello Aragonese very close to downtown. The breakfast was really good and the staff very kind.

There are only 5 parking slots assigned to the hotel and parking in downtown is a nightmare. I had a suite over 2 floors with a bed on each level. A couch, 2 chairs and a table in the ground floor instead of the second bed would upgrade the whole suite and made it far beyond just an accommodation to sleep.

Everything decor location breakfast

Hotel Europa is beautifully located facing the inner harbor. I did not have a room with a view. It is a short walk to the old city , restaurants and sites. The room had two bathrooms and a bed loft.The bed and sheets were wonderfully comfortable; the hotel provided beautifully wrapped robe and slippers. With two bathrooms one in marble the other in grey tile, there were towels everywhere. Breakfast was in traditional Italian style with white cloth tablecloths with windows over looking the inner harbor or the canal and old town. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. I was very happy with my hotel choice.

In my room, the lighting was very quirky with multiple switches with different lighting options. There was one option which caused the lights to flicker rapidly until switched off. The only other issue is the narrow staircase leading to the loft bed and bathroom. It is very narrow; not for the those with mobility issues or size.

Absolutely delightful staff, they'll go the extra mile to make you happy and confortable, including helping us with the parking spot. Good breakfast with lots of sweet and savoury options, spacious rooms, top cleaning service. We were travelling with my dog, who was also welcomed with some treats and bowls in the room. The amazing view on the seafront that I had from my window will remain in my memory, If we'll ever pass from Taranto again, there's no other place we would stay <3

I slept with the widow open, and at intervals during the night the noise coming from the ships reaching the harbour would reach the room. Was totally fine with the window closed. I'd add a small mattress or something similar for the dog in the room, since their stay is also charged.

Location, staff, room. Staff super helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and welcoming. Location is central, close to everything, including tourist attractions such as the castle and museum, or old part of town. Also close to shopping

Breakfast could be better considering it’s a 4 star hotel. American style and basic. This was the only reason I didn’t give this place a 10.

We had a corner room with views of the Castel, old town, Mare Piccolo and Mare Grande. The room, on the 4th floor had a wrap around balcony. The staff were exceptional in their attentiveness. The location of this hotel was perfect and there were plenty of restaurants nearby.

Air conditioning was not working in our room.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. You felt taken care of. The views are outstanding. Together the perfect combination. Issues resolved immediately. Really positive.

The building is a little tired in places, but the renovations are starting. I can’t wait to come back and revisit when they are done!

One of the nicest rooms we have been in during our 3 week stay in the south of Italy. The room was 5 star as is the location. Taranto is not what you call a resort location but this sea view location close to the old city was exceptional for us.

Parking was somewhat challenging. There is a road down to the waters edge just below the hotel which we finally discovered as we had trouble finding overnight parking. However there are reserved parking spaces in front of the hotel for loading and unloading baggage.
