Our stay was everything we hoped for and more. What a beautiful place is Il Frescale Country House! And most of all: the hospitality by Angelo, Marie-Lena and their family exceeded our expectations. We hoped for an authentic Italian experience and it was all that and more! The view on the mountains, delicious breakfast with homemade cake and pie, special coffee’s by Angelo, but also the dinners where you are surrounded by Italian families. Angelo has good tips for seeing Amalfi and is always willing to help out. From early in the morning till late in the evening, we saw a very dedicated and friendly host. We feel so lucky to have discovered this place and would highly recommend it! We loved it and hope to come back some day. Arriverderci Il Frescale Country House!

Incredible location with restaurant and accommodation in the middle of the nature. Angelo is a great and warm host that makes you feel like part of the family. Together with his beautiful, passionate and commited family - this dream team makes sure to deliver best quality services. The place is situated in the hills, right in the middle of nature. The road up from Maiori includes scenic views with lemon hills, forests and traditional villages - different vibe vs the crowded and busy Amalfi coast. I stayed at Il Frescale for almost 1 week together with my partner and had amazing time. The accommodation included a very spacious room with view to the wineyard. Very quiet place, big bed and best for relaxing. The location includes restaurant with amazing food which is made with fresh local products and from the farm yard. Highly recommend to go there and eat. The best traditional italian dishes I ever had and also one of a kind beef with mushrooms!! Compliments to the chef - everything was so fresh and tasty!! Attention to Michelin folks and all foodies out there - this place is a gem, make sure to add it to your list. Overall experience was amazing and highly recommend the place. Amazing place, in the middle of the nature. Very relaxing and authentic place. Fantastic host Mr Angelo, very kind and happy to help. Food is amazing at the restaurant, must eat there at least once. We stayed 4 nights and had dinner twice because was very good with organic vegetables from own garden. Really nice place to stay, away from the chaos from the cities.

Would be great to have Air conditioning as it was very hot outside. Some devices for flies and mosquito as well would help.

All great. Large, comfortable, pleasantly old-fashioned room with screened windows in quiet, rural location. Angelo was the perfect host, not only providing a splendid breakfast but also opening the restaurant for us when we were the only diners (this was the beginning of October): we enjoyed some excellent meals and ended up eating there all four nights of our stay.

It would have been nice to have a kettle, cups and maybe a small fridge in the room. Not sure about the TV being on in the restaurant - a bit naff, but kinda Mediterranean too, so all part of the experience.

Il Frescale country house is a true family home. Ran by the kindest people, Angelo and team are always ready to help. For example, they helped me rent a scooter after I had issues prior. Angelo is an amazing host, he also speaks a lot of different languages on top of Italian (French, English and some German). He also suggested me great places to visit which made my stay extra special. The location of the B&B makes it very easy to venture to different places such as Amalfi, Ravello, Positano, Pompeii and many more amazing places, while still offering a relaxing refuge in nature. The food was also very good, I ate at the B&B every morning and evening because it was simply too good not to… Also, as a vegetarian the team was more than happy to offer me great vegetarian alternatives of classic Italian dishes. In short, my stay was truly amazing, one I will never forget.

Angelo and his daughter were the most wonderful hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The food was fantastic and it was fabulous to eat all vegetables from the garden. Nothing was too much trouble and the small touches from Angelo were really appreciated. Italian hospitality at its finest!

As it’s an old property the noise travels a bit from the restaurant

This is such an exceptional and calm place surrounded with greenery and beautiful landscape, but also a with a very authentic and genuine cuisine and host! What made our stay so special is not only the wonderful location, but also the hospitality and generosity of our funny and attentive host, who spoiled me and my partner with local dishes and drinks with all locally grown products! The homemade pizza and lemonade is really one one of a kind, and he made us both feel very comfortable and relaxed. I would highly recommend this place to everyone looking for an authentic and relaxed place to stay <3

We had a fan in our room that helped in the hot weather, but having an AC could perhaps be a plus. Other that that, there really is not much to complain about. We loved this place!

Beautiful location way up above the coast in wine growing country. Free on-site parking; great breakfast; friendly owner, who speaks good German and reasonable English. Restaurant on-site with good home-cooked food, fresh produce from the garden and their own wine. Very quiet - I think only four rooms available - we spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony reading and enjoying the beautiful surroundings - very relaxing. A fox visits for dinner every night and there are birds, lizards and butterflies to watch too. Not the best location if you're wanting to do lots of sightseeing, but we had done two weeks of that already, so were quite happy to just relax. Unless you're a serious hiker, you'll need a car to go pretty much anywhere, as the terrain is very hilly and the hairpin bends to get there are not for the faint-hearted.

Bed was a little bit hard and the room was always extremely hot; we visited during an unusually hot spell for June, so was almost impossible to cool it down, even with the fan on all the time. Take lots of insect repellent - I got eaten alive!

Very good breakfast, typical Italian, served outside with mountains view, under vine trees, unforgettable experience. Great dinner served in restaurant on the ground floor, prepared by the owners (don't even think about missing it and looking for other places to eat). Ask for liquers at the end of dinner, you will be surprised how original are they. We stayed there for hiking in nearby Valle delle Ferriere / Pogerola with fantastic Amalfi views.

Excellent place in mountains for 4 rooms. Easy to find. A lot of space for parking. Very nice views around. Perfect breakfast, tasty. In the evening you can order some food in restaurant. For sure can recommend this place to stay to everyone with car. It takes about 15-20 min to get to Maiori or Ravello depending which direction you choose

Internet is not very strong in rooms (but good in restaurant)
