This B&B is located in the heart of the Old City, which makes it perfect for couples who want to explore the romantic side of Trieste. It's near the San Giusto cathedral on one side and Piazza dell'Unita on the other, and roaming around those two, you can find many charming shops, cafes, trattorias, and osterias. The room was spacious and comfortable, and so was the bed, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. We had an Italian breakfast with various sweet pastries, fruit yogurts, juices, and fantastic coffee. However, the owner did offer to make it more continental if we were up for it. But the best thing about this accommodation was Davide, his wife, and his mom, who were super friendly and helpful. One notion: the apartment is on the third floor of the building without the elevator, so bear that in mind when booking if you have any walking impairment.

The perfect place to stay in Trieste. Just a couple of minutes walk to centro but away from the noise and crowds. You won’t find a better host anywhere than Davide ! So kind and helpful. The rooms are great and he makes you a nice breakfast. And … a private secure parking garage! We absolutely loved it.

Great location - near town center (5 min walk to ferry and main squares), room was clean and very nice (bed was comfortable), host is helpful and professional (you can ask for anything and he will help). Garage in the building is also very big advantage, as it's hard to park a car in city center. Breakfast - italian style with great coffe :)

Everything was excellent - location in the city center, helpful owner, clean everywhere. No one can blame for the fact that the traffic on the street is busier at night. Perhaps the house could be better marked for accommodation (it was only on the bell), breakfast could be enriched with eggs, butter ...... But these are the little things, we were very satisfied.

There was nothing we didn't like.

It is located right in the centre of the town. Davide helped us with the parking offering a place in the garage for a modic fee ( which I strongly recommend reserving since parking spaces are very hard to find). The room was nice, I liked the design.

Lack of an elevator. The host was very kind and helped us with the luggage.

Thanks very much! We really enjoyed it and can only recommend B&B Gens Julia! We really appreciated the air conditioning, as it was very hot in Trieste these days. Since the accommodation is on the 3rd floor, it is only suitable for visitors who are able to walk well!

We had a vary varm and friendly welcome. David is an excellent host and very nice person. Great location of the facility with free parking place just beneath, makes Gens Julia excellent choice. We would higly recomend this place and certanly come back. Overall the whole experiance exceeded our expectations.

The central location was great for exploring the city. Being able to park the car in the garage was a great advantage. The help from the owners with the daily itineraries and places to eat was invaluable and made the stay more enjoyable. Loved having our daily breakfast on the balcony overlooking the rooftops. The sunset view was spectacular.

The private bathroom outside of the room was not ideal, but it was not a problem as it was a step away.

Location was excellent, just a short walk to the main square. Room was very clean and bathroom had everything you need for short stay. Parking in garage cost 5€ per day, that's super useful to have in centre od Trieste. The host was nice.

Breakfast could be abundant and healthier.

We loved our stay at the B&B Gens Julia! The apartment is located in the heart of the old Town of Trieste. The B&B was beautifully furnished and was impeccably clean! Davide and Federica were great and kind host, who not only supplied us with great tips for Trieste, but also served us coffee and breakfast each morning. We will recommend them to all our friends, who plan a visit in this beautiful city, it's really worth a stay! :)
