The location is brilliant, right in the centre of everything. Can easily walk down the stairs to the beach or Santuario di Santa Maria, otherwise so many restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance. Also, we had a room on the top floor in the corner, the sunset was amazing. Breakfast each day was so nice and really set up our day, we just took what we want and headed to our room to enjoy the view. Claudia is the best too, always helpful with any questions or requests via WhatsApp.

Everything was great

American couple in our 60's visiting Tropea for the first time. First of all, Claudia the manager is super helpful and always presented her fresh baked goodies every morning to us. The staff was very nice and it was clean. Great location in town and the seaview was a vision from heaven. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone. Also they helped us arrange a Taxi to the airport. Also there was a beach umbrella and beach towels for us to use in our room.

Only thing to know is that there are steps to get into the B&B rooms (no elevator). However, Claudia helped us get our bags in and our of the B&B, very hospitable.

Room was big and terrace was nice.

Having the room across from breakfast room made mornings noisy. The stairs were difficult to transverse several times daily. Bathroom had sewer smell.

Superb location on the edge of the old city with a wonderful view from the balcony. Exceptional hostess Claudia who bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. Outstanding breakfast that could be taken on the balcony. The B&B has good sized rooms and within easy walking distance of the station, the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. They even supplied beach towels, beach bag and umbrella.

This was one of my favorite places to stay in Italy. The location is perfect, close to the beach and all the restaurants. It is walking distance to the train station. Claudia, the host is so helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts are simple yet delicious and as a celiac, I was made a special cake daily and offered extra treats/fruit etc. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped, they even provide an umbrella and beach towels! We really loved this accomodation.

We loved the central position with our balcony overlooking then ocean and piazza. Lovely breakfast with a lot of variety. Our host Claudia looked after us as if we were family. Special thanks to the owner who baked gluten free cakes for my wife so she could enjoy her breakfast. Providing us with beach towels and umbrella with out addition cost was wonderful. When we return to Tropea we will always stay here!

Nothing we loved it all…..!

We stayed at the B&B for two nights. It was the most amazing stay, we had a balcony with sea view (you can take your breakfast there), a beautiful room with a bathroom. The shower even had a massage function. The host was very friendly and made us coffee in the morning, she was also considerate enough to give us an umbrella for the beach. The breakfast was also very tasty with homemade cakes, scrambled eggs, juice etc. We highly recommend staying here. 5/5 stars

I loved everything! From Claudia who had been super accommodating, nice and helpful till the location and nice balcony. Not to mention the breakfast, which you may take to your balcony - everything fresh, nicely served and variety (eggs, omelette, fruits and every day fresh pastries cooked by the owner. Il Duca is a beautiful property in beautiful Tropea. Our room was huge, always immaculately clean and the air conditioning worked brilliantly!! The bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely every day with fresh homemade cakes and coffee. The best part was our hostess, Claudia. We have never stayed anywhere before where the host was so welcoming and went out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Claudia thinks of everything, even down to making sure we had breakfast to take to the airport because we had an early flight. She honestly made our stay so special and we can’t thank you enough Claudia. We can’t wait to come back!!

Il Duca was an amazing place to stay. Claudia was so helpful and lovely my whole stay. The room was spacious and clean and modern. The location is unbelievable and had an amazing view of the water/town. The owner also owns a restaurant which they offered a discount which was beautiful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

The only thing I didn’t like was the stairs to take my luggage up but I was pre-warned and wasn’t too high.
