My wife and I spent 7 nights at Residenza Il Barone, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Tropea. The room was spacious and clean. We loved the breakfast on the rooftop terrace - the view was beautiful and there was lots of delicious food (we especially loved our morning omelettes and fresh baked croissants). It was a perfect way to start the day. Also, the location was perfect, as we were only a short walk from the beach or any of the amazing restaurants in the area. Another reason we would highly recommend staying here is due to the host - Saverio. Saverio was fantastic and went above and beyond in order to make sure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Even before we left for our trip, he had sent us messages to ensure we knew how to get there ok. He was always offering his help in any way he could, and was very helpful in organizing boat trips for us, as well as our taxi home. He also gave us tons of restaurant recommendations - all of which were delicious! When we eventually return to Tropea, we already know we would book here again.

Everything was amazing!

I can really recommend this hotel. It is located almost in the centre of Tropea, despite this position the rooms were quiet.Saverio was really helpful and always in touch with us by whatsupp.The service was great, they kept our room always clean, coming every day from the beach, we appreciated it.It was possible to use the hotel roof terrace anytime.We had a coffee machine in the room, coffee and sparkling/still water everyday was free, small things makes the difference.We ejoyed our stay, Tropea is beautiful place.

Perfectly located in the heart of the beautiful old town of Tropea, this accommodation was our most favourite during out 6 week tour of Italy. We had two rooms and both were super clean, spacious and well appointed. The building itself is an old palace situated on a small piazza off the main drag. The children loved the spa and with a stunning beach (one of the best in Italy) only a short walk away, we were spoilt for choice. The breakfast on the roof top terrace has a stunning view and was a highlight. Saverio was a perfect host and provided us with recommendations on where to go and which travel groups to sight-see with. We were very happy with all of his recommendations. We loved Residenza il Barone and can't wait to get back.

Absolutely fantastic location in the heart of the city. Impeccable service and attention to details. Thank you, Saverio, for being so helpful. We were treated to a delightful breakfast on the top of the terrace and enjoyed beautiful view of the town and sea every morning. Very comfortable rooms, clean and big enough, excellent wi-fi and air condition. A big thank to the entire team for making our trip so special. If you are considering a visit to Tropea, then Residentza Il Barone should undoubtedly be at the top of your list.

Particularly loved having the good breakfast on the terrace overlooking the town and the sea. The position was perfect, in the centre of the old town, just a 10min walk from the railway station and then not far from either the beach or harbour. Saverio, our host was always on hand to give us advice or help, including carrying our bags to and from our room on the 2nd floor!

Great location, the rooms were spacious and with everything you needed. Breakfast was held on the top floor with views over Tropea, and the ladies were so helpful. Authentic and beautiful guesthouse in the stunning town of Tropea. Saverio is a most helpful host and a wonderful person.

The property in the perfect position in the centre of Tropea. Saverio was one of the best hosts we have had, he was very welcoming and was very helpful with some great restaurant recommendations. He was also very good with explaining directions and helping us with parking for our stay

We stayed in the individual apartment. It was in the middle of old town. A fantastic location. Cafes, restaurants etc literally 5m’s away from the front door. The apartment itself is old keep this is mind. Old with charm.

Just be mindful of staying in the apartment there are steep spiral stairs to get to bedroom. As cute as they look, my partner had to duck the whole time as they’re tiny and small. We could not take our suitcases up them as they were too narrow.

Saverio and Ercole were very good answering my text messages and eventually leading me to the location. I was exhausted and it was dark. I was also late. Ercole answered a myriad of questions and brought me two bottles of water. The apartment is very centrally located.

Million dollar views at breakfast time from the Mediterranean rooftop style terrace . Seriously having breakfast here was a real treat great food and selection of fresh juices and the usual Italian delicacies on offer every day : Host was most obliging.

The property suited us in every aspect. Generous large bedroom and sitting room great air conditioning it was a pleasure coming home to after a hot day visiting the marvellous shops and brilliant restaurants.
