Great location with fantastic views. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with terrace, small garden and superb view. The stairs down were a bit tricky especially for clients with mobility issues. The rooms were spacious with basic furnishings and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious with large walk-in shower which needed some adjustment to prevent leakage onto the floor. The rooms are quite dated and if neighbouring rooms were occupied limited privacy on the terrace but it was not an issue for us. We enjoyed a good dinner which was quite pricey but overall worth the money. Service throughout was exceptional. The outside area and pool terraces were great we had breakfast on the terrace enjoying the far reaching views.

The rooms are a bit dated and could do with a makeover and upgrade to match the rates being charged. Lighting was poor and there were signs of unfinished work on the front door. The hotel is full of character so one must accept that some antiques are a little over done by today's standards.

The team was very welcome and accommodating. We were serve lunch after 2 pm , it was great for us as to rest after busy holiday. I used swimming pool and towels were provided by hotel. The drinks are available while you are resting by the pool , the hotel provides free of charge nibbles like peanuts etc , the hotel had a lot of charm and wonderful tarace with breaking taking views where we had a dinner . It is good place where you want to relax with good book but good for family with children as there is swimming pool which i mentioned before. We had a dinner which we enjoyed a lot. There is a big garden around the hotel where you can have a nice stroll or sit on one of sitting area. We were completely switch off there and left relax before long drive. Highly recommended

Beautiful hotel with a long history. Our room had stunning views of the sea from different angles. The restaurant is very good, the best food we've had on our trip. The staff is friendly and helpful. The swimming pool area is very nice. Breakfast is excellent and the gentleman who made coffees was extremely kind. We really liked the whole atmosphere. Some might find the decor a bit dated but we thought it fitted the aesthetic.

Old rooms and beds , property needs a major overhaul and the road to get up there is absolutely dangerous and horrific

The location is wonderful. Views are sensational. So beautiful. The pool was great, the kids loved it. Great for swimming and diving. A traditional hotel with old fashioned wonderful service and panoramic views that blew my mind. The icing on the cake is the restaurant, food and service was first class. Honestly, I’d 100% return.

Very beautiful, classic and authentic villa in the mountain (300 m) of Ventimiglia Alta. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast (homemade) and gastronomic restaurant with panoramic view over Cote d’Azur (incl Monaco). The pool is large (and clean), with sufficient towels, beds and parasols. It is a great place for relaxing and enjoying the Italian Summer life.

The staff was wonderful, our room which overlooked the Ligurian Sea was great, the view was unbelievable and the food was fantastic.

it is a narrow winding road to get there so take the 5km road not the shorter one. Otherwise there is nothing to dislike about La Riserva.

It was further away from the main town than we realised- not the hotels fault we should have done better research. But we would have benefitted with a car to get around easier. However the hotel were great at booking taxis for us when we needed!

Authentic place with excellent service and timeless atmosphere. Clean and great swimmingpool. Amazing food and wines! The music makes all the difference. Even the cat is stylish.

The only upgrades we could think of is the possibility to charge an electric car and a sign to express the preference to not change the towels daily.

Amazing views, charming staff, and very, very tasty food. The room was clean and comfy. The blackout shutters meant a good night's sleep indeed. Nothing fancy but what you would expect from a 3 star in Europe. The journey up the mountain was a bit scary but worth it as the views are breathtaking. And all the staff were really lovely and helpful.

I would not suggest taking the journey up at night. A bit hairy. The shower never really got warm and the water pressure was very low, and even lower if anyone else nearby was also running a shower lol! Prices in the restaurant were a bit toppy (the local wine we had was waaaaaay overpriced) but the food and service were both very, very good so not terrible by any means.
