The blue orchid is a quaint little hotel right by the airport. My husband and I just needed a quick place to stay before catching a flight early the next morning. This place was exactly what we were looking for! Quiet, spacious, clean, and really good food. There is a chef there on the property who makes all food from scratch. All the staff was accommodating and helpful. No complaints at all. Would highly recommend this place! Honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer!! Only 5 minutes from the Montego Bay airport.

The location is ideal for access to the airport and to have some quiet time. The amazing views of the airplanes taking off from the airport (MBJ) coupled with the relaxing sounds of birds slightly chirping from the surrounding forested hills gives me time to perform introspection and deeply relaxes the mind, body and soul.

It would be good to have an option to select how much salt or spice is added to the breakfast.

The only issue was the wait for food . The food was delicious but should not be such a long wait.

Tina and the staff at the Blue Orchid are friendly and accommodating; the grounds are lovely; and the prices are great. This is not Club Med or Sandals, so don't expect chair-side cocktail service on a private beach. However, if you just need a reasonably priced base of operations that's convenient to the airport, then the Blue Orchid is all you need. Rooms are spare but comfortable and spotless (and air conditioned!) If you want to venture out, you can ask Clive or Tina to set up tours and shopping excursions and they'll be happy to oblige. I felt safe and welcome for the duration of my stay, and would definitely stay there again.

I have been in Jamaica for a week. The first few days, I stayed a few miles away at a popular all-inclusive. I finished my stay here at the Blue Orchid. This place is Exquisite and blew my expectations. I wish I would have stayed here my entire time in Jamaica. I felt safe, cozy, and at home. The staff is friendly, helpful and very kind. I ate lunch and dinner here and was not disappointed. Food was full of flavor and homemade. I stayed in room 2 and had ocean views. I'm sure all the rooms are nice b/c as soon as you walk out of your room there's a pool or a terrace where you can lounge. Close to airport and other goodies.

The free breakfast is great! A little bowl of muesli with some fruit, a basket of assorted pastries, and juice or coffee. Yes you can order a full breakfast, but the continental is more than enough, especially. If you are traveling that morning. The only confusing part was the free continental breakfast is listed on the menu with a cost (I think $6) so that made it confusing on what was actually the free breakfast. The staff were all very nice. It’s a great location to the airport. You can watch the planes landing and taking off, and you can see the ocean beyond it. Great place for an overnight stay or if you are planning a lot of touring and excursions.

They Went above and beyond to get us what we needed I really appreciated that. We stayed here after spending a few days at Breathless resort it was refreshing to stay at this BNB it gave us more of a real Jamaican experience. The breakfast was good as well.

The pool could have been a bit more clean when we arrived there were bugs and leaves in it but that's to be expected when the pool are is surrounded by trees and bushes. My partner and I still got in because when you think about it the ocean has a million things in it but we still get in so it wasn't that deep. They cleaned it the following morning !

I will definitely come again! Blue Orchid felt like home! It was soooooo clean and staff was very friendly!

Breakfast was as described, cold creamy musli (for us with slices of East Indian Mango and fresh banana and whipped cream) wife wanted the recipe and I know we had the option of ordering additional items ala carte off their menu if we wanted additional variety, coffee was great. We also had dinner at their inhouse restaurant the night before, Jerked chicken and rice, price was reasonable and food made fresh and tasted great so happy to have that option without going out. Nice to be only about 5 minutes (1 km) from the airport.

Would have had to pretty much get a taxi to visit the beach but we knew that when we booked, music was loud in the lobby but stopped promptly at 10PM (but I was tired from travel so could not sleep earlier as I would have liked). Nothing would cause us not to book again as the staff was excellent.

We stayed one night here. The fish escovitch was amazing. Strong rum punch. Room was very small but very clean and adequate for what we needed. We even were able to get to our rooms before check in. The owner arranged the best transportation driver who showed us around the city. He was the most friendly and knowledgeable. His name was Michael, you have to book him as well for your transportation needs as well. Overall, great experience from check to check out.
