Clean, new and spacious

Nothing really. More restaurants or food places around would be good. Local supermarket closes early and due to the local area, the supermarket isn’t that big

This is the perfect place to stay for visiting the Aso area. A brand new facility just opened in November. Great view from the room. The water pressure is good and the bed is comfortable. Nice space for two people, room size 25m² is larger than the Japanese standard. Staffs are nice and some can communicate in English. Aso Roadside Station 道の駅阿蘇 right across is a nice market that sells fruit, food, specialties, and souvenirs. Asora あそら食堂＆カフェ nearby has vegetarian food.

Washer and dryer were very busy and the laundry area smelled a bit. Wish there was room for three people.

Love the design of the hotel, very new and practical interior. There is also a view from the room looking at the volcano. Very clean and comfy. Not far from the volcano and it is just next to the train station. The hotel does not have a restaurant (which they warn you in their info / email) but they offer free coffee/ tea and miso soup.

Staff (mostly foreigners) are ok, but could be better and more helpful considering the Japanese standard.

We loved our stay at Fairfield in Aso, ideally located just a minute's walk from the train station. The staff were very kind and attentive and the rooms were super clean with a beautiful view of the mountains. While there wasn't breakfast available, there was a very cozy communal space where you can make tea/coffee/miso soup or eat food brought from the outside. We would definitely stay there again.

Nothing to dislike.

Staff were able to communicate with guests in simple English. A self help pantry was available to provide hot water and coffee for free. A dinning room with a big table and a living room with very comfortable environment were provided. Washing machines and drying machines were charged at reasonable price. All in all, I like this hotel very much and shall revisit this hotal in future in chances come. Parking is provided for free.

Very clean and efficient room, comfortable bed and slippers, nice lighting, great view in the morning. The design of the room is just amazing. They also had free coffee, tea, and miso soup in the lounge. The staffs were so nice and accommodating as well.

I wish it had Onsen facility within the property. The Onsen next door was okay, but it was a little bit too crowded.

Very new hotel right next to station. Lovely room with plenty of space and a good lounge and eating area on 1st floor.

No catering available and few places to eat in the evening in January. We were warned about that by the hotel and they do sell some food and facilities to heat as well as tea & coffee - so not a problem.

Hotel is located in front of Aso train station. The room was big when compare to Japanese standard. There is one good restuarant and convenient store ( just 3 mins. drive) which is opened for 24 hours and the food is good . The facility is ok.

Excellent location. Bus and train station are just outside the hotel. Restaurants and convenience stores are nearby. Common pantry and dinning areas are clean and comfortable.

Very close to Aso train station. Nice communal dining area with free coffee and tea. Room is clean and comfortable. Ample free parking lots if you drive.

Most F&B outlets are not within walking distance.
