Good infrastructure, nice rooms, very good breakfast & excellent SPA.

Of course you should always respect the local culture of any country. But some of the rules in the hotel are difficult to understand. It is forbidden to show any kind of Tattoo at the Pool area. At Easter they were selling some kind of Donuts at a little Hawain Market and then prohibit to eat the Donuts at the pool (though you can order other food at the pool). And finally they remember you that you are only allowed to move your sun chair maximum 50cm and ask you to move it back otherwise. This lack of flexibility is not very customer orientated for international standards.

-Beautiful hotel, brand new -The staff was amazing, extremely nice (especially with our 1-year old daughter) -Breakfast buffet was perfect -Meals at the House without a Key and Aomi restaurants were delicious! -Rooms were very clean and very comfortable -Private beach was very nice

The only issue we had during our trip was that it was very difficult to book a table for dinner, especially with a one year old baby. On the first day of our arrival we were shocked to hear everything was fully booked, so we had to rush to find a place nearby where we could have dinner. On top of that, the reservation system needs to be revised: you can book tables for dinner from the ipad in the room. When I entered 4 adults and 1 baby, we could only get a table at 5pm or 9pm…but when I entered 4 adults only, we could book it for 7:00pm, and the staff had prepared the baby chair and cutlery nonetheless.. The system needs to be changed.

We stayed at the coral suite at sunset wing - very spacious, clean and stylish suite with breathtaking view. We woke up to amazing, transparent ocean and clear blue sky each morning and we can directly enjoy the sunset view from our bath or on the lounge chairs on our balcony. Service was wonderful - helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed breakfast a lot - buffet restaurant offers wide selection with good quality. Aomi was also nice with traditional Japanese breakfast. We did not try Shiroux.

The opening time of the pools are quite short. The dinner options were quite over priced and difficult to book. Breakfast queuing system is supposedly convenient and saves you from physically at the restaurants, but in fact it is a bit of a hassle to have to register in the morning and constantly check your phone for queue progress. If you have plans in the morning, the queue is a big problem. I would suggest waking up at least 1 hour before your preferred breakfast time slot to register.

The Halekulani is perfect in every way! From the moment we arrived until the time we left we were taken care of by the excellent staff. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, the service is top notch and the breakfast buffet in the morning has a wonderful variety and is delicious. We asked for a couple recommendations for dinner off the property and they were spot on, especially the Okinawan dinner! We cannot say enough good things about this special property other than a must stay of you are visiting.

There is nothing negative to say about the property. We did rent a car which was a great way to get around the island and experience the other neighborhoods. I would recommend this if you are able to do so.

Service was outstanding. The staff do an amazing job of organising activities external to the hotel. Hotel was beautiful. They have done a good job of having a family/kids side and then the sunset side which is more suited to adults. Very clean hotel, great turn down service, very comfortable bed and pillows. Loved that you get pyjamas, a beach robe and a bath robe. If you book a villa you have access to lots of additional facilities eg free flowing champagne, afternoon tea etc.

This is a very relaxing beautiful resort. Rooms are great and the location for Onna is perfect. The concierge team are really very good given it's so difficult to get around the island and to the hotel from the airport.

Check in seemed to take forever (we had two stays here and both times it was slow). The lunch options are quite limited and given it's a resort you would hope for more options and longer opening hours of service. The restaurants at night get fully booked. Most nights we had to eat at restaurants outside the complex.

Room was spacious, clean and beautifully designed. Private beach was covered with shells and even had a small coral reef that you can see without snorkeling. Breakfast buffet could use a few more local selections like the famous Okinawan peanut tofu, but we were happy with what was available. Staff was helpful.

We were a group of 13, and we came by charter bus. When we arrived the hotel, only the person booked the rooms was allowed to get off the bus and enter the hotel for check in. The others were asked to wait on the bus. I found it odd as I didn't see other guests waiting in their cars. After several complaints, the staff allowed the rest of the family to enter the lobby. I understand that the staff felt that the small lobby could not accommodate our group comfortably, but the restriction was frankly quite rude, especially when check-in could take over 30 minutes. I must stress that every staff member we encountered was polite and helpful, but the process could use some improvement.

I loved everything but especially the view The Hawaiian singers and dances every night and the 5star service received no matter where you are on the property . Walking into my room the first day was like walking into a little slice of heaven Everyday little thoughtful gifts were left and it felt like they knew exactly what I needed ..

Honestly there was nothing I didn’t enjoy

The fine and modern hotel architecture, the separate pool for adults (no children allowed) and the fanstastic view of the green/blue ocean.

The beach vicinity and cleanliness was doubtful. Waiting list hence reservation concept for the restaurants, especially for the breakfast is cumbersome and annoying. The small size of the indoor swimming pool and in general the early closing hours (18.00h) of the facilities.

Luxury Hotel with highest standards, excellent cuisine. Beautiful and very clean beach. Very elegant and spacious room.

Very busy, especially on weekends. A lot of Young families with children at the pool. Live music every evening. The Sunset Wing seems to be quieter.
