Really loved the dinner and breakfast options. Nightly happy hour with free ice cream and snacks was a nice touch for the guest:) The daily biscuits and top up of hot and cold water in our room was awesome. Everything about the room was great (had the private onsen). Only issue was the shower had some flies so it’s awkward to shower. Staff were extremely courteous. Location was great. Although a bit far from the station to walk the hotel shuttle is able to take you back and forth on request. It’s right opposite the tourism park where you can get great souvenirs. All in all will recommend this place and very satisfied.

There were flies in the shower. Also not really important but the garden at the patio could be more lively too 😅

Firstly getting picked up by the hotels bus/van at the train station was EXTREMELY Convenient. They loaded all our bags and even loaded them in carts at the hotel to bring to the front desk. Check in was quick and they brought the bags to our room and showed us what the room had to offer. My Wife and I had the Deluxe Japanese Style Room with the balcony that had a private Onsen tub outside the room. The place was beautiful with the room clean and very spacious! The Balcony has a beautiful view of the Lake and the Onsen Hot tub was hot and relaxing! They had a variety of Yukata to wear and free drinks on the first floor. We went outside on the first floor veranda to enjoy the night air. We saw some kittens playing on the premises which was a great bonus! Then we had our special Kaiseki dinner, which was great! Course after course went by and the food was great, especially the local Omi Beef! Then we went exploring the area and checked out the "library" where we just relaxed and had complementary snacks and drinks. Then the foot pool and the public Onsen on premises. We got a couples massage after and went back to the room to relax and soak in the private Onsen again. The next morning we had a buffet breakfast with all the normal fare, but also some unique Japanese choices such as fish to grill on the grill, curry rice, and Onsen Tamago(Egg). Checking out was easy and the ride back via bus from the hotel was much appreciated!

Coming down from the train station, a mobile phone was there to call directly to the resort that had a shuttle bus to transport to the resort. The service staff were excellent, with a welcome drink and personalized check-in, and they take you to the room. Extra assistance was rendered when I requested to upgrade a room with a private onsen. And they did it with zero fuss and a reasonable upgrade fee, which I cheerfully paid. Dinner might have been the highlight of the trip with a feast, excellent chronograph dishes, and a taste that is better than the presentation. My picky-eating boys ate and enjoyed most of the dishes, and the sabu sabu meat was extremely soft and tasty that my boys still remember it a couple of days later. The private onsen overlooks the sea, and the family bath it the evening and morning to maximize their enjoyment of the moment. Happy to recommend friends and family to the resort that provided us with a great time of relaxation.

Wish they could us check in earlier but its policy.

This delightful place is conveniently located near Biwako Lake. It offers the best in-room and common area onsens, ensuring a relaxing experience. Even on a rainy day, the surroundings remain stunning. The spacious rooms and excellent facilities provide a comfortable stay, and to top it off, my room features a luxurious massage chair for ultimate comfort. The hotel provide Japanese robes with a variety of colorful options that adorable and Instagrammable. Additionally, the breakfast at this hotel offers a wide selection of delicious and luxurious dishes. It is truly one of the most indulgent breakfast experiences.

We specially arranged the Ryokan experience for mum, we enjoyed the aircon room with bathroom and private onsen, we chose our Yukata and wore it for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was the highlight and it's sumptuous! It's contradictory to me that this nice Ryokan is run by bunch of young people when most of my Ryokan experience was interacting with elder.

I wish i booked a room with bed instead of tatami for my mum, it's not as comfy as i expected, my bad. The serving of the dinner could be slower, we found ourself rushing it as the girls were diligently serving the next course to us most of the time...

The is the following stay continued from previous day. I could not booked the same room (more luxury) style due to high volume of tourist for school break, so have to settle for the regular room. Breakfast is good, but dinner is less quality compare to the luxury package., still a very good quality dinner. Overall very nice for a regular room

I did have a chance compare the regular room than the luxury room. If you can afford it, take the luxury package. My regular room is a little bit dated, smaller, less choices inside the room. Plus the onsen tub is very small,

We loved everything about our stay. From before check-in until after check-out, everyone put in so much attention to detail. Incredible views, luxury and the meals were nothing short of amazing. Would highly recommend this to everyone and definitely come back ourselves! We'd like to thank the staff for all of their hard work!

Nothing!

The on balcony onsen was amazing. As a couple with tattoos we couldn't use the main baths but this was perfect. Used it in the evening after dinner and then again in the morning watching the sun come up. The room was large and comfortable. The food was excellent.

The only minor complaint is the dinner was a bit rushed. Subsequent courses kept coming out before the previous was finished and piling up. I can't eat that fast and as a result couldn't eat everything. That being said it was a lot of food and all of it was excellent.

great facility, great service, good food, very well experience.

I come to Japan to try to find where my passed-away grandparents' ash is located. By the end of my stay, I was asking the front desk staff to help me to make a call to the temple(because I don't speak Japanese and don't have a Japanese phone), which I think its possiblely where they located to make sure I'm heading to the right temple. The front manager guy refused to give help by saying "even if we called, it's not going to work". I ended up finding a warm-hearted stranger who helped me at the train station to call and confirm with the temple. Still I think it's a good experience of the stay, but it did played a lowball to the trip

We got two rooms, both with private hot tubs on the balcony overlooking the lake. One of our rooms was a full suite. The service was exceptional and the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were really good. We tried their outdoor Onsen but it was smaller than what I expected and there was no view.

Our room was located in a lower level so our lake view outside the window included the roof and piping from The other buildings. The ryokan is a bit expensive since we went on a high season (April).
