I stayed at Quintessa for 2 nights before travelling up to Niseko. The double bed room was reasonably sized for a solo traveller for me and clean. I have no complaints especially since I paid for the 2 nights for about USD100 total which was a steal. Definitely better than JR Inn Sapporo Kita 2 Jo (which was not too bad) and KOKO Hotel Sapporo Ekimae that I stayed in 2023. Being in the Susukino area, it was close to more eating places, Tanukikoji, Nijo seafood market etc which made it convenient compared to hotels nearer to Sapporo station. Would stay there again definitely

The location was good, the staff was friendly, the rooms were reasonably spacious, and the value for the price was well worth it.

On the other hand, I was disappointed that the bathroom smelled when I entered the room (caused by the shower curtain) and that the wifi speed was slow and intermittently cut off.

A very good and clean hotel. What was super was the help we received from one of the employees working the counter. Our rental car plans fell through on the day before we were to have the car for a week - they were cancelled by the agency for some unknown reason. We were in a jam and asked the person at the front desk who then made a couple of calls and secured us a rental car. I do not know why using the internet resources for renting a car in Sapporo was such a dead end, but this Quintessa Hotel employee helped us out a ton.

The hotel is totally good. It is in a very lively part of town. This is good because it is where a lot of action is, including public transportation, but it is also crowded and a bit grotty. There are lots of, uh, places for people interested in bars with women hired to look attractive to incentivise customers.

The susukino chain has proved to be extremely reliable and reasonably priced for our stays through Japan and the Hokkaido branch is no different. The room was a bit more spacious than what we expected, which was nice, and the room had amenities that were sufficient for our needs. It's in the heart of Sapporo, in the susukino area (near to clubs and love hotels) so might not feel safe for lone travellers but we thought it was pretty alright.

The paid parking has limited spaces so do arrive early if you want a lot!

The size of the room and washroom was much bigger than usual budget hotels. Additionally, they kindly stored our luggage for free in the cloak room before our check-in time, so we could go sightseeing without having to carry our luggage around. The location is also great, just about 6 mins walk from the Susukino station.

No spoons provided in the room. Also there's only an option for complimentary tea but not coffee (sachets)...

Room was bigger than most Japanese places, located next to a great ramen place (Crab Gang). Reception was nice (but a little understaffed in the morning). Buffet was really good with a lot of selection.

The central AC was super hot and didn't seem to be controllable by each room. It was snowing outside so the temp variances when coming in and leaving the hotel were quite significant.

The hotel is clean and comfy, and the staff, is welcoming and professional. I really enjoyed my stay.

According to me the problem is the GPS, that told us to go to a street where the hotel wasn't. The only little problem is the lack of mugs.

Location is near to susukino subway station. Walking distance to tanukikoji shopping street and some other attractions. The hotel able to grant my request on staying at higher floor and quiet room.

They won’t clean the room daily unless you stay more than 4 days. They will only clear the rubbish daily. You will see lots of adult-entertainment establishment along the way. So it might be not very suitable if you are travelling with kids.

Very clean and new, friendly and professional staff always there trying to help to cater your needs. Very spacious for the price we paid, breakfast were good too. We stayed three nights in total, we were very satisfied with their service and environment. There are lot's of restaurants and convenience stores nearby the hotel too, all within walking distance. Highly recommend!

Nothing. Everything looks good for us. :)
