Phottage Inn Biei is a cute and cozy spot just a 10-minute walk from the train station. The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and come with a desk, fan, and fridge. While the toilets and bathrooms are shared, they're always kept extremely clean. Plus, there's a washer and dryer available for use. The lounge area is a great place to relax, with free tea, coffee, and snacks. There's also a microwave if you need to heat up any food. One of the coolest things about this inn is its nature photography theme. The lounge is decorated with beautiful photos of nature and animals, which really adds to the charm. If you're into photography, you'll love that they rent out tripods and ladders. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Tamotsu-san for all his help! Overall, Phottage Inn Biei is a great place to stay, especially if you appreciate nature and photography. I'd definitely stay here again!

Extremely up consumer price index, which means, low cost and high quality products/service! The staffs are friendly, the facility comes with awesome coffee and snack counter, a small photographer exhibition supporting local artists. The building construction is also done to perfection! In the room we stayed, there was 0% air leak in any corner touching the outer elements. We could even ventilate a little without losing too much heat! It was just perfectly constructed. We were in awe without reserve. The staffs were also able to speak quite enough English for us to feel that there’s no need to exercise our Japanese but if you choose to, you should definitely still speak Japanese in Japan. It was the most valuable stay in Biei.

It was a little too perfect that It made me super aware of the seams of the building corners in every rental stay we stayed in after finishing at Phottage.

Very clean and cozy despite it being small. The lounge was great too, with free coffee and sugar bread biscuits! Free carpark on site!

No private toilet but the toilet and bathroom were ALWAYS available whenever we needed them :)

Very nice room

Didn't have AC in the single economy room. The halls are cool, so you can simply let the door open for 15 minutes to cool the room, but it breaks privacy. I was there during very hot days, so this was a problem, but it the temperatures are not too high, it should be okay.

Sweet hotel in a small, quiet city! The hotel's design is unique, warm and so detailed, a very nice accommodation during a rough winter. The staff is very helpful, good in English and welcoming! I will definitely stay here the next time I am in Biei!

Nice place to stay! It was very clean and I was well welcomed. The inside is really well designed and has cute decoration. There are also common areas for people who want to socialize. I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the Biei/Furano region.

The room had everything you needed without anything unnecessary, Nice coffee machine, also provided tea and sugared rusk as a treat, location is a 13 min walk from Biei station, complimentary laundry

It was a very nicely designed kind of 'modern cottage' with individual rooms, the shower rooms and toilets were well equipped and very clean. The free laundry was a plus. Free bread and local milk were extra plus. The bed was comfortable, and the size was good for one person. The common space had very beautiful prints by a local photographer. The guy was very helpful booking a restaurant for me when I couldn't get a table anywhere the night before. Totally recommend.

The first night was fine but on my second night someone next door was snoring like thunder and I could hear EVERYTHING even after ear plugs (provided for free) it was difficult to sleep and I had an early train to catch, so soundproofing might not be the best. The WiFi kept cutting in and out and I basically couldn't connect even though the router was right outside my room.

I really loved this place! You also got free milk and bun when checking in which was so lovely! The room was small but very cute. There is also a lounge area, which was very nice. There are some restaurants and konbini right across the street. Highly recommend!

Really couldn’t say any minuses!

I liked that I had my own room. The shared bathroom spaces were nice and clean. The temperature outside was hot, but there was AC running in the hallways to cool the rooms before check-in.
