shared bathroom, shower room were very clean. the lift is quite small but can get in with luggage and others. only 10mins to karato sushi market on foot, and right in front of something temple. if you stay at dorm, could see through the window

mattresses are weird. i think they put cheap mattresses and when the mattresses are no good anymore, then put on the top, when i put sheets in the bed i saw a lot of mattresses, but it is not a big deal, i slept well. comfortably. just when i see the ceiling, i can see the old and some stained spots on the mattresses of upper bunk. that wasn't no good experience. and other, it's located in living area, so make sure buy some water and sweets before going back to uzu. but if i go to this city, i would stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, including with my Japanese (which I'm learning), and the location was quite good in a few ways. There of course was the view from the roof (and a few other floors as well), but you also had the fish market, the underwater strait crossing, and a pedestrian area with izakayas nearby, too.

I don't recall any negatives.

Staff were really friendly, the bed was comfy and the bedroom had a great view. The rooftop area was amazing and the kitchen was big.

It's a little far from the train station and the property had an almost "unfinished' look about it in places, which I think was an aesthetic choice but was a bit jarring from the comfy and modern aesthetic of the reception area.

The door to the room was a bit difficult to open at times and the rooms aren't sound proof so you can hear babies crying down the hall, the cars driving by, or people walking past your room if you got a private room. There was also no light for the rooftop outdoor seating area, or it wasn't obvious if there was a button for lighting. When I went there were two other guest just sitting in the dark outside.

The location is amazing and the staff very friendly. Having a cafe inside the hotel is really nice.

There is not much shadow on the rooftop so it’s not very convenient to use during summer. Maybe adding some screen or sun protection would be amazing because the view is awesome.

The terrace on the last floor offers an amazing view on the sea. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower were clean and spacious. There is a bus stop right in front of the hostel which is quite convenient as it is a bit far away from Shimonoseki main station very peaceful area

I especially like the kitchen/balcony with a view! The staff were friendly and responsive. Common areas were kept clean always. Excellent location also for exploring Kanmon area! Karato wharf and Kanmon tunnel were the highlights.

Friendly and welcoming front desk staff. Availability of washing machines and dryers. Good shared showers. Good location, a short walk to Karato Fish Market.

Could do with some redecoration in places.

Nice location to explore the area, though you might need to ride a bus to get there. Really liked the roof terrace.

The bed was pretty noisy and uncomfortable, but I ended up getting used to it.
