The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They speak English very well, and always provide a thorough information when needed. The place is so lovely and comfortable (and well-designed), and the breakfast OH MY GOD is very tasty and fulfilling (note that there is an extra charge for breakfast, and it's totally worth it). Be informed that during winter there is an extra charge of JPY 150 per day for heating and this is NOT a complaint. It is reasonable and understandable.

The place is cold despite the heating (could also be that I have a low cold tolerance, so this is subjective) so I was shivering unless I'm under the blanket. Just make sure to bring a warmer pajamas, people (didn't expect this because usually heating inside buildings in Hokkaido is warm enough--definitely more than enough compared to Tokyo!)

Due to the late arrival of our airplane, we stayed in this hostel. It was much better than we expected. The owner speaks fluent English, so we had no problem in getting all the information we needed. In addition, he prepared a nice breakfast at 900 yen per person with good coffee.

Maybe because of the off-peak season, it was rather difficult to find a place to eat dinner. We were not able to eat at the nearby bbq place without booking, but another restaurant 'Kinpen' was good enough for us.

From Shiraoi station to the hostel was just about 5 minutes walk. The room was cozy and warm, the bed was so comfortable, I had the best sleep during my trip. I love the cafe and artisan merchandise displayed. Breakfast at the cafe was very nice, bought Shiraoi beef from shop nearby and self cooked at the common kitchen for dinner, what a treat! Walking to visit Upopoy also pleasant. All in all, I enjoyed my one night stay there, would love to come back again.

The staff was very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. Also, with the hostel being so close to the station, the Upopoy Ainu museum, and great restaurants, the location couldn't be better. Would highly recommend.

The lockers were a little narrow and small. I was only able to fit my bag into a locker after removing some stuff to make it thin enough to fit. But it didn't bother me.

The host really makes me feel like a home, a warm design in facilities and reception counter. The host told me how to go to the location I want to go while we encounter language barrier but he tries his best to provide information that I need, the facilities are all great, I enjoy the stay being here and hope to stay here again next visit.

The staff is friendly. It's near to the station. A very quiet place. You can use the kitchen. Everything is clean. The cabins are spacious. You can sit upright.

You walk with your street shoes through the whole house. The ladders aren't fixed, so you always have to be careful, if the person under you might have replaced it, because you can't hang them without making a cage of the under bed.

Perfect location near the station and also close to the Upopoy Museum. The room was spacious and clean. The common areas were well maintained as well and the staff speak English. There is a must try Izakaya nearby, everything on their menu is delicious!

One of the most comfy hostels I've stayed in on my Hokkaido trip--Haku is a fashion and chill cafe/hostel. Pretty close to the Shiraoi Station and Uppopoy Museum, people are nice and friendly, and the room is clean and decorated so elegantly. If you want a relaxing adventure, defenitely recommend Haku:))

There is charges of using the air-heater for winter season and the washing dryer machine unable to perform well , I tried 3x yet the clothing still not as dry .

Very pretty building, and very clean. Staff was amazing, easy to talk to and very helpful. the snacks/food options offered at the cafe were also very good!

the bunk beds were a little hot, if it was a bit cooler or maybe there was a fan at that end of the room as well, it would have been much better.
