Excellent 4 Star hotel, great value in late October. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Large room with two opening windows and views of the cathedral and surrounds. Light and airy. Comfortable king sized bed. Good sized bathroom with bidet. Fridge. Parking available on site but we found free street parking two blocks away. Supermarket on lower level of building. Easy walk to centre. Very quiet area. Only spent a day in Salamanca, could have stayed longer, very nice place to visit. Lots of joint people around. Would recommend hotel and stay there again

Lovely hotel, very well located close to the older part of town which made it very easy to stroll down & soak up this amazing place. The room was a very decent size with a huge bathroom (& a fantastic "car-wash" shower). My room was quite a long walk from the lift down a very long corridor - just something to bear in mind if you have limited mobilty but thankfully this wasn't an issue. Lovely 3 course dinner was only €15 & the wine list certainly wasn't overpriced. Secure underground parking.

If I had to pick something, the barman was a bit grumpy - but I'm really splitting hairs. Overall everyone was very friendly.

Hotel was very reasonably priced, perhaps due it to being located a 15 - 20 minutes walk away from historic old centre. It is a large hotel able to cater for large groups, but we never felt neglected. At night the area is quiet, but within walking distance to several bars frequented by locals. A supermarket located around the corner in the same building was handy. Reception staff were always very helpful and courteous. House staff were welcoming and courteous. We liked being able to open our windows to gain fresh air. Breakfast was satisfactory, but not outstanding.

Nothing to dislike.

The Grand Hotel Corona is conveniently located between the bus station and the beautiful center of Salamanca (5-10 minutes walk). It is fronted by a park. The hall is spacious, marbled and with metal linings, even if with few sofas. Staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, with a view of the Salamanca's cathedral and other historic buildings. The bathroom is exceptionally large, clean and modern, with a comfortable shower, twin basins, large mirrors, and a bidet (which Italians will appreciate). The room is also very large; the bed has two pillows, which helps. There is plenty of light and sockets, and a small desk. The furniture is of modern design, perhaps early '90s, but in good condition and, contrary to the anonymous booking- optimised, hotels, it has personality and is mostly used by Spaniards. Air conditioning works well, and the wifi was sufficiently strong for my needs.

I really did not like the ubiquitous abstract paintings. The breakfast, though relatively cheap, was very disappointing. A quick walk to Plaza Mayor would have offered a much better meal at a lower cost. The ingredients of an Iberian breakfast were absent or hidden (tomato). The bread was of terrible quality. The Iberian ham was not recently cut. The coffee was from a machine and not good at all. No squeezed orange juice. No cheese worth its name. The pastry was varied, but below standard. The top-hung window can be opened, which is good, but the way they can be opened presents a danger which is usually prevented with these windows (they allow someone to fall off).

Location was in the right place. Bathroom is very good mainly duche where bath was taken without heating the floor. Although room was located in a very busy road, you don't ear any noise, not even in the corridor.

Air condition was not working. In a night so hot it took us long time to sleep. The fridge bar was empty, althought the freezer was working. In a so hot room and night its important to have something cool for people to drink.

Highly recommended stay. Could not fault it at all. Had a very good, reasonably priced meal in hotel. I don't know why guests do not use it. We found there were very little suitable restaurants nearby. Parking was underground to Mercadona Supermarket at extra cost.

Address given by booking.com was incorrect. That is why we found it difficult to find. It is actually down a side road to the Mercadona Supermarket, so guests please note. Exact address of hotel is: Calle Victor Garcia de la Concha S/N, 37007 Salamanca.

The room is GREAT! And the view at the window is GORGEOUS! I literally loved it. The localization is very good, super close to the bus station and close to the city center as well. I definitely would come back there.

The breakfast is not that good BUT you don't need to have it. Instead, there is a supermarket beside the hotel where you can find everything. So, it was not a problem. The hotel itself is great!

Some of the staff, although always polite and courteous seem a little miserable. A smile occasionally may help. There was also an issue with the electricity in our room which would occasionally go off on its own despite having the card in the required slot and one of the lights would flicker and fizz when you tried to turn it on. A little worrying when it's next to the door and you are on the fourth floor.

The 5th floor room was a good size with a panoramic view over the city. The bed was very comfortable as were the other furnishings. The bathroom was large and modern.

The shower temperature was a bit erratic going from cool to hot intermittently without warning. Our stay was perfect up til being woken at 5am on the day we left. I rang the night supervisor at 6am to deal with an idiot talking loudly on his phone outside the building. He said he’d deal with it but did nothing. The idiot finally left at 7.

The location, the staff, the room, everything was great. Walking distance to everywhere. The breakfast was excellent. The best place to stay when you go to Salamanca. It also had a parking, that was a must for us. Check in was fast and easy and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will stay there if we go back.
