Excellent location, which is just a short walk from a city centre. Well equipped room with tea making amenities and air conditioner. Excellent breakfast and a good restaurant with various dishes of all kinds. A parrot near the reception which greets you time by time is a bonus point.

We liked the beautifully decorated restaurant and the breakfast every morning, including great coffee. The rooms are comfortable and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed Charlijs, the parakeet, who interacted with guests in a unique way. There is a lovely sauna room and spa at extra cost which we unfortunately didn't get around too. On our way to check out, we saw a great reading nook and wished we saw it before. The veranda and seating area at the back of the hotel is lovely. Another plus is free parking. In fact, our car was parked right at the front door for our two day stay.

A little more attention to detail in the room would be appreciated - there was no milk for the coffee and tea spoons, instead of stirring sticks would be great. These are small things though.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay. The parrot was definitely a hit for the child. Moving up and down with the whole family with the elevator was very comfy. We liked the restaurant and breakfast in the morning.

Our neighbors in the next room were super noisy. Me and my husband were awake in the night at least from 04-05 o'clock. Luckily the baby didn't hear them, but they were shouting and drinking, and noone from the hotel personell probably knew about it. I was too tried to get out of the room and scared of waking up the baby, so we just waited for the unpleasant drinkers to tire. I'm still amazed how people do that - just like there are noone else around them. Very unpleasant.

The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of food options to suit all tastes. The room was very clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Overall, a highly satisfying experience.

The TV was quite small and not a smart TV, so there was no Netflix or other streaming services available. However, it wasn't a deal breaker considering the overall quality of the room and the fantastic breakfast.

Very good location. Perfect cleanleness. Generally good breakfast.

The showerhead was narrow and fixed in the ceiling of the bathroom; I would prefer wider showerhead with many holes, and best of all - a movable one. Both tables in my room had small free area. Restaurant of the hotel was closed at 5 pm on the Easter, and there were no obvious other opportunities to have dinner nearby (restaurant "Rātes vārti" was closed during the whole Easter).

Great location, just in the city center, you can walk to any object by foot, don't need a car. Clean and tidy room, everything in place. There is a car parking at the door, and additional car par at the back yard, so don't worry, you will find a place :) Breakfast is amazing, for a such a small hotel, variety of food, salads, juices, everything is so fresh and well cooked. I highly recommend you to try Valmiermuiža beer, it is local Latvian, and Valmieras native beer.

Nothing to complaint about, maybe AC was not so new and it was hot at summer, but this is not a problem.

Check-in on Christmas Day went without any problems. Guests can park their car in front of the hotel or use the parking lot located in the courtyard. It is possible to enter the hotel from both sides (there are signs also). The room was very well appointed, big enough for two people. A refrigerator and a kettle were available in the room. The bathroom is well thought out, modern. Everything was clean. Breakfast was in the hotel restaurant, would give 8/10.

The bed was not very comfortable, the pillows were hard and too small. But that was not the main problem. The bed linen strongly smelled of washing powder or softener (I can't specify). For me it was dreadfull because i hate softener smell and washing powders with aroma.

We asked for earlier breakfast and they did it. The room is small for three but cousy. There were almost everyting in the room that a person can need.

The description says that the room contains refrigirator, but ours did not. The was a very bad smell in the hall. The water in the shawer run to the sewer too slow and you needed to stand in the water covered up to the ankles.

Breakfast - quite big variety. Porridge, sausages, cheese, salad, yogurt, eggs, pastries - something for everyone. Room, at third floor, were comfortable and big. To the center of the city we just walked about 5 minutes.

Nothing to complaint. There was at the moment small renovation but this small mess is just temporary. In week or two hotel will be again in full beauty.

Hotel staff at the front desk were friendly and definitely willing to go the extra distance regarding requests, such as providing the names and locations of several shops where specialty items could be purchased. They also organized the hotel sauna and pool for our use. The breakfast buffet was excellent! The restaurant in the hotel is highly recommended.
