Everything is expensive in Monrovia and this is one of the "cheaper" places but serves its purpose perfectly so don't see a reason to may more elsewhere. Comparable to a decent 3-star hotel in Europe. Spacious room, comfortable bed, hot shower and cold AC, wifi worked well as well. I enjoyed the generous breakfast and the location is good - close to the beach and you can go for a jog around, safe and little traffic with many embassies around.

My stay at the Murux was amazing. The staff is very friendly, rooms are clean, the hotel restaurant has the most delicious and fresh sea food. The location of the hotel is in a great location, just a few blocks from the beach. I highly recommend the Murex.

Centrally located, has restaurant serving great burger, Pizza & fish dishes. Rooms are clean with 24/7 aircon and hot water, not to be taken for granted in Liberia!

The breakfast was good but the lunch/dinner was excellent. Your chef is great with especially fish and paster that we had one evening.

The location is excellent. Close to city centre and businesses. The airport is away from the City (about an hour drive depending on traffic) so does not really impact the choice of accommodation in Monrovia as most good options are in the city. Murex Plaza is a good hotel, well run and managed, good staff, professional and courteous. The power supply is 24x7 as they have a backup. Hot water, shower in the room. It is a quiet place (despite the traffic), and has a restaurant to cater to a modest variety of cuisine. There are few eateries close by as well. For those who are in town for a longer period, the hotel is closed to supermarkets - about 800 m. ATM are close by as well - around 600 m. The hotel is on the main road, which provides easy entry and exit for taxis. Some of the rooms have a sea view.

Internet is not secure and is weak. This can be improved. Housekeeping services may not be available round the clock and for a limited duration during weekends. Not much in terms of TV viewing. Only 3-4 channels and TV reception is not of good quality. Some of these issues are not directly in the control of the hotel as local factors also influence. So expectations need to be managed.

The location was perfect. I enjoyed the restaurant. The check-in process was seamless. The room was spacious. There was A/C, hot water, and internet. I would stay here again.
