Location was good. Many restaurant choices. Beds were VERY comfortable. Breakfast was also much better then most places. Even the croissants were fresh and done well. They also helpedto extend our check-out to 2pm. They were very accomodating.

My daughter had stomach upset & had to get medical aid. We returned from the hospital at about 10:15pm and requested the hotel restaurant (168) for toast & jam. Unfortunately, they DID NOT accomodate our simple request despite the fact that we know they have toast for breakfast everyday. We had to search for toast in the mall next door. Nevertheless, the Manager did apologise the next morning. Apology accepted. On another note, they should provide feeder bus to local attractions.

Room was very spacious. Love where the desk is…behind the bed, so plenty of room to work without disturbing my wife in bed. 24hr Gym was big with plenty of new equipment and easy access. Swimming pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was very reasonable…RM$30! Great location.

Disappointed with lack of bathroom amenities…even comb and shaver need to be asked to deliver. The safe was located right at the bottom close to the floor making accessible difficult. Swimming pool is out in the open making it hard to use in the rain…and Penang rains alot and often! Breakfast buffet seriously lack varieties. I know there lots of Muslims in Malaysia, but tourists are mostly Chinese and Westerners…no pork and beef on the menu is very limited in choice!

The staff are spectacular! The moment we arrived on site with our luggage, a staff member approached and asked if we are checking in and he took care of loading our luggage while giving us directions to the reception on the 3rd floor. While we were checking in, we got complimentary icecream and our bags were brought to our room shortly after we went inside the room. Beds were king sized and comfortable, linen was clean, and the pillows were awesome! AC worked well and there us a mini fridge with complimentary drinks and some small snacks (wafer cookie and chocolate covered nuts) Black out curtains ensured we could sleep through the night (maybe set an alarm if you wanted to get up early otherwise you'll think it's still the middle of the night when it's 10am!) Breakfast buffet was a great value and some dishes and drinks changed daily. You can get nasi lemak, fried noodles, salad, assortment of pastries and bread, icecream, soup noodles, steamed buns and sticky rice, congee, and there is a coffee machine too (i didnt use it but it looked popular!) Housekeeping comes by daily and if you're in the room they will check if you'd like anything changed or the room cleaned, very friendly and kind staff. The driveway in front of the hotel lobby is managed by a security guard all day long. He works hard to direct traffic and keep things moving , especially since people are hailing cars and constantly getting picked up or dropped off. He took time to help us load up bags into our car when we were leaving and that was greatly appreciated. A minor thing was our room had some bug husks near the ceiling on one wall and it looks like the bugs are all gone, just had these old shells left behind. The front desk staff immediately got housekeeping to clear it when we mentioned it, and they also offered to change the room for us too! We stayed in the same room in the end because there was no issue with the room especially after it was all cleaned up.

The shower was lovely however the water would tend to splash out of the enclosure since the glass divider only blocked half the length of the shower stall. This would result in water soaking the bathroom mat, and then it would get some of the carpet outside the bathroom door wet too (not a huge area, but we kept stepping in the wet patch cause it's right in the middle of the door jamb area. ) One solution is to shower with the water at a lower output. I'm not sure if this is an issue in every room. Not a big deal though, just be cautious of the wet tiled floor and if you're wearing socks, avoid the wet patch went walking around.

Good location

Air-conditioning in the room was too cold. Room temperature couldn’t be adjusted despite having a temperature controller. Shower area not completely enclosed; bath water leaks onto the toilet floor during showers. Other than above, the room was great.

Perfect location, near malls and lots of food options - local & international. The gym was very well equipped for a hotel gym. Did not eat at the hotel as many other options outside. Local coffee shops 2 blocks away. Spacious room and comfy bed. Mini bar was free, just 4 kinds of drinks and a Kit Kat and small M&Ms. Sufficient and replenished very quickly. Good service from the concierge who managed to arrange for a taxi to go to airport during peak hour the morning

The room bathroom layout - not enough towel racks, main towel rack in shower cubicle which did not have a door so after shower, there will be some water splashed in front of the shower cubicle. Towel rack in shower cubicle not accessible after shower so no place to hang the hand towel etc. In spite of effort to re-use towels, it was just not possible as there was no where to hang them after use. Ideally, the shower cubicle should have a door & the towel rack is placed outside or need additional towel racks. Hotel provides a nice clock in the room but the clock runs off power so when we leave the room and take out the card for power, the clock dies. Minor issue as the nice clock never shows the right time. This is feedback for the hotel

This is my first time in G Hotel. The service is amazing once we reach there. I am very happy and would love to express my gratitude to G Hotel management. I received a Birthday cake while staying there. It's an amazing gesture from the hotel. I appreciate it so much! G Hotel makes my birthday from a better to a great celebration.

When I made the reservation, I did not book for morning breakfast. So, the next day when I was having my breakfast, I felt the staff body language of one of the staff when he explained to me how much the cost that I needed to pay. I hope moving forward he did not judge people from what we wear or look. If I can afford the hotel cost I am definately can afford the breakfast there.

Close distance to the major shopping centers, suite is big enough for a family of four, friendly and helpful staff, gym facilities and swimming pool are very good and just a GRAB away from major attractions and breakfast is good.

Mainly on the area can easily get congested during busy or peak hours. More varsatility on the breakfast like teh tarek. Tea spoon is not available in the suite room. More generous complimentary food and drink in the minibar in future.

We had an executive suite Very spacious but surprisingly poor use of space in the design Could have added much more wardrobe space rather than standard small wardrobe Wi fi in bedroom not as consistent as living room Housekeeping didn’t replace the hard soap even though very little left Buffet was not as expensive as other hotels I have stayed in Penang For example the Eastern oriental has a sensational breakfast

We upgraded to a suite and were blown away by the spaciousness. My husband and son really enjoyed the cocktail hour with free flow drinks and canapés. Breakfast buffet was excellent- wide variety plus high quality! It was busy every morning but we always managed to get a table quickly. Staff were all very professional and pleasant. Location wise- can’t be beat! Right next to Gurney plaza where there are soooo many stores and eateries to explore! We will stay at G Hotel for sure for our next visit!

By far the best hotel we've stayed in Penang! The hotel was highly accommodating to our requests and the service has been top notch. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom amenities were provided and not forgetting the free mini bar! Breakfast is delightful with a spread of local and continental dishes. The hotel is nestled between 2 malls that offers a complete shopping experience and has an abundance of great eateries both in the hotel and the malls.
