The location at the entrance to the park is great. The tours we took part in - Night Hike, Day Trek, and Night Boat Ride were all good. The "included" food was buffet, but good, and the option for ordering from a menu was available. The restaurant does serve beer and wine too. The facilities are nicely landscaped and well maintained. Going across the river to Kuala Tahan is easy, although not required. The "chalets" are mostly separate although some are duplex and may not be as private or as quiet. Some units have larger porches as well. It is would be good to be specific is you have preferences.

If promoting itself as an eco-resort then handing out plastic bottles of water is not consistent. Other eco-resorts provide guests with branded re-usable bottles and a couple of on-site water fill stations. The re-usable bottles continue to promote the eco-resort image even after they leave.

We had an amazing experience with loving memories. It’s best to book the transfer directly from the hotel if you come from KL or you can take the bus to Jerantut and from there take a taxi to kuala tahan. When you want to take the boat from kuala tempeling, make sure to check the departure times beforehand. The friendly staff welcome you at the check-in and help you with booking activities. The chalets are simple, but include everything you need including great airconditioning. The WiFi works great across the whole resort. The tour guides hosting the activities were kind, passionate and showed us everything in the jungle. Shoutout to Kemay!! The breakfast and dinner buffet differ per day, if you don’t like what’s on the menu you can order from a seperate a la carte menu (extra charge).

it was not very clear how the accommodation could be reached. more help could be provided on that

The location is great, the resort is in the National Park across the river from Kuala Tahan. There are various trails that start from the resort and can be explored independently. The resort also offers activities, although we did not try it. The staff is helpful and friendly. Food at Seri Mutiara restaurant is okay. There is a clinic at Kuala Tahan across the river. There is a trolley to bring the luggage up from the jetty to the resort.

Resort is not ideal for people with mobility issues as there are stairs from the jetty to the resort. Some of the rooms farther away are not as well maintained.

What an amazing location. It seems daunting on the map but it is very simple once you get to Kuala Tahan. You need cash for things outside the Mutiara Resort to make life easy with the boats. The resort itself is spectacular and brilliant value for money for where it is. You don’t need a guide for the close walks but if you are nervous then it might be easier to do that. We booked the boat to Lata Berkoh and it was wonderful.

The evening food is plentiful but not to a high quality. You can order separately off the menu even if you’ve paid half board.

It is difficult to briefly describe the possibilities this accommodation offers. The facility is very large and is located on the "right" side of the river. Numerous hiking trails leave from here, tours can be booked, and there is always someone there to ask questions. It is a paradise for anyone who wants to connect with nature. Regarding the price-performance ratio: On the one hand, it is a quite expensive accommodation by Malaysian standards. On the other hand, you have to keep in mind that it is a huge logistical effort to get everything necessary to accommodate and feed tourists to the other side of the river. The same applies to water and sewer pipes. There is plenty of staff, everyone is super nice, the whole facility is constantly maintained. So you have to look at it as a whole, and given that I can live comfortably on the edge of a primary forest, it's worth every penny. There was only one big disadvantage: My stay was too short;-)! I would like to come back, but for longer. A very powerful flashlight for night walks is recommended.

The location inside the National Park was excellent, the resort grounds are well maintained and beautiful, the staff was friendly, and our chalet was charming, with basic facilities, but the most important one: air-conditioning! After a few hours of hiking through the jungle, coming into a place where you can shower and cool down is great. Halfway through our stay, we had a hole in our roof and an animal (looked like a tree shrew or a mouse) came into our room in the middle of the night. Hard to sleep after that, but the staff moved us to another chalet the next day. That's when we realised that not all chalets are the same, the second one looked like it was built a decade later, the maintenance had been way better on it, the furniture didn't wobble, the bathroom cupboard had handles on it, we had a safe (we didn't in the first one), the balcony/terrace was bigger (and what a space! So lovely to have a coffee and listen to the jungle there). Lastly, the staff organises activities from there, which were a big plus, we went on a boat tour and a night walk through the jungle.

The food. We had half-board included (breakfast and dinner), which is convenient if you have small kids, you don't need to cross the river into the village for your meals. But... The food was so mediocre. The breakfast was decent if you like eggs every day, but very few vegetarian options. The dinner was almost identical every evening, we ended up crossing the river for food, because the restaurants in the village are much better. The food was really disappointing. More variation, and more vegetarian options would've been great.

The location is spot on, the hotel is nestled right at the entrance of the park, easy access to nature walk and it's nice to soak in the atmosphere just walking around there. The chalet is comfy too. The tours are informative and full of adventures. Love the Lata Berkoh journey - River Tahan has its own charm, it is captivating really, must try. It's enjoyable to walk on your own too - surrounded by the lovely and lush flora and fauna, and the never-ending sounds from the rainforest creatures :) We enjoyed the meals served at the restaurant. There were variety of dishes and staff were friendly. Thank you for the experience.

Saturdays are quite crowded for canopy walk. If those who stay at the resort are able to access the canopy earlier in the morning just before the others get in, will be great, as it probably will help to spread out the movement at the canopy area. The staff at the canopy, the one who allowed us at the first point, was quite snappy, but it was understandable as the numbers were huge on that day.

Location was amazing Attentive staff Great base to explore from

Rooms are a little run down, could use a refresh. Our room was #89, which is right down the end. Took us 7 mins to walk to the reception/restaurant/river crossing. This made the stay difficult. Some electric scooters/ bicycles/ shuttle buggy would make that journey much easier. I would request a close chalet if I returned. They could put more lighting on the path. Once at night walking on the path I couldn't see and misjudged the path, stepping off it and falling ☹️. Book any activities across the river to save yourself about 50%

Restaurant staff, hotel staff, guide and local boatmen were all very helpful, friendly and professional. Great location for accessing tours or individual hiking. Excellent, high quality local food served at dinner and lunch. Monkeys and lizards come into the resort. On the swamp path we saw monkeys and a millipede. Multiple possibilities for access to the rainforest. Boat trip across from jetty is cute and enjoyable access point to hotel. We also really enjoyed both the day and night boat tours.

Facilities Walk to room was very lengthy. Buggy for guests on arrival would be helpful. Although clean, the shower had low water pressure and wasn't obvious how to get hot water, the lighting was very dim, the toilet was stained, the safe was on the floor. Wildlife On the hotel tours don't expect to see much wildlife. The tours tend to be busy and, therefore, loud so not ideal for wildlife. Very few birds visible in the hotel area or on tours. Probably it's necessary to go much further into the rain forest to see any animals or birds.

Definitively outstanding location at the border of the huge rain forest national park. Plenty of excursions in any lenghts are available for every taste and level. The night walk is certainly worth to go. You will not encounter big animals as they live deep in the forest, however you will see quite many bizarre insects, spiders and many crawling animals you wouldn't notice by yourself. The visit to the Orang Asli settlement was interesting. The river "rapid shooting" was a great fun even you get all wet at the end (warm waters!). The whole resort area is perfectly maintained as a beautiful garden with birds and butterflies. There are about 100+ cottages on the premise, hence the place can be busy at restaurant hours. Overall, it is a quiet and nature surrounded resort worth to stay. Keep in mind that you are in a rain forest, therefore the environment is damp, moisture is around, no clothes really fully dries. When one thinks that every single building material and equipment was once brought over the Tembeling River, it gives you a sense of the planning and commitment invested in this successful project! A special thanks to the team whom take care of us with a great smile and friendliness when arriving very late at night and to the chief cook Zamri who prepared a delicious Patin Tempoyak dish.

Most of the park rangers are not at all customer oriented! Wifi is reliable only by the restaurant area. The room was spacious, but there was only one chair for two guests.
