Cube Bed Station Hostel

The location is perfect, just right behind the jetty where all the eateries and dive centres are. The staffs were very accommodative and friendly. I love how they put dining tables at the lobby for guest to hang out. The room was clean, with comfy bed. The water heater works perfectly too. It's very thoughtful to have verandah to dry out all our wet suits and swimsuits. Plus point for the strong wifi connection. Definitely a good place to stay.

I asked for my room to be made but they didnt do it. Not sure if some guest was playing prank but the door tag (please make up my room tag) that i left on the doorknob was disappeared when i returned form diving. And the room wasnt made up.

The decoration was good. I like the room's setting. The hotel will help us arrange transports from Taowu Airport to Semporna.

The air conditioner was leaking. The journey to Semporna was too long, which may cause too much transportation fare. I suggest that tourists not book the early morning flight back to KUL. My flight was scheduled at 9:35. I still needed to spend RM 150 taking taxi to Taowu Airport. (PS. just my experience not dislike.)

The location is great and closer to the shore. The room is the same as what it is advertised. The mattress and the pillows are comfortable.

It is just that the room windows that I rented was next to a balcony where people can hang their wet clothes. If I open the curtain, public can see inside my room via the balcony. No breakfast provided but you can always do your own coffee or tea in the pantry area next to the counter in the lobby.

Hipster aesthetic & the location is excellent, it is in the same row as all the local seafood eateries and within the town compound. You literally don't visit elsewhere except when you go for island hopping, so Cube Bed offers the best venue. Room are nicely spaced and there's a private toilet in every room. The staff is really helpful, they even help me with the airport transfer and activities in Semporna.

The drainage smell. It's not the hotel's fault tho, it's typically the whole town since it's next to the sea, in fact, there are 2 ventilators in my room to combat this so I think Cube is doing their best to mitigate this.

Super simple, but very well done rooms. Got all the basics and the basics are done well. We had a queen bed with a window and really enjoyed it. It was super close to our dive center for a few days and it has an array of restaurant options nearby. Hot water in the showers is instant. Beds were comfortable and just soft enough for our liking. Good array of lighting options. Cold Beer for a decent price sold in lobby. Good sized TV's (if they work. Ours was broken)

Never a fan of the showers that get the toilets all wet, but at least you'll have no issues with hot water. Power by the beds would be appreciated. Underutilized shared spaces in lobby. Usually no one in it and nothing playing on the TV. Shower room may need a fan. Smelled a little musty.

The placement of the facilities in the bathroom makes sense. Is clean. There is a common dish washing area at the lobby, and water filter refill. The location is good, with plenty of convenience stores and restaurants. Staff is friendly. I left my flask there and they kept it for me.

There is a strong smell from the nearby kitchen.

Very nice view, comfy bed, clean room. Close to pier where trip starts and to fat moms which is the best restaurant in area. They have trip for 180 rm which are nice (we did A and B) and airport transfer for 40 rm but depends on driver schedule. They can however help with grab for 100 rm per car. They have very nice common area where you can buy cold beer for 8 rm lager and 9 rm guiness. This is very cheap as in nearby market it costs 6.68 rm and is warm. Nicest place to stay in my opinion especially rooms with view.

In morning it gets noisy from the boats starting at 6. The laundry is not available in hostel but you can do it in automatic one 10 minutes away however you need to spend time there to switch between washer and dryer. Not much to do in this area.

The hotel is located close to the jetty. There are a few local restaurants near by or you can walk 5-10 min to pizza hut. The room is small but cosy and clean. Comparing to what we saw around I am pretty sure this is the best option in Semporna specially if you want to stay close to the boats. The bed was confortable and the water in the shower was hot and had a good pressure. The shower is however directly near the wc without any glass/wall separating them, but that's normal in many places in Asia.

Room and bathroom is clean! Comfortable bed and a working water heater for bath. Also got a sink and mirror outside of the bathroom! So its convenient for one person to brush teeth/wash face while the other one can use the bathroom. Room not so spacious, but can fit our two luggage and we can still perform our solat. Got a nearby malay seafood restaurant and watsons/guardian/7e

The room didnt came with a bathroom mat, so make sure to dry yourself in the bathroom properly
