This beautiful house, really more like a palazzo, nestles in the center of historical Rabat (Victoria), on the peaceful island of Gozo, Malta There are magnificent cathedrals and museums nearby, but also wonderful beaches and local restaurants. The hosts of Provicario, are gracious, generous, endlessly patient, and provide a beautiful and tasty breakfast each morning on the roof terrace. The rooms are stylishly appointed with every convenience—think mid-century modern furnishings in an exceedingly well updated 500-year-old house. We found it to be one of the most charming and comfortable places we’ve ever stayed and can’t wait to return! Thank you, Patrice and Isabelle, for four very memorable days!

Rien! It was perfect!

Provicario is a gorgeous little boutique b&b hotel perfectly located in the centre of Victoria (Rabat) Gozo literally steps away from the main square / taxi drop-off point and close to everything the city (and island) has to offer. It was made by combining several buildings into one and it's solid construction and thoughtful renovation ensures it is cool and quiet. Patrice and Isabelle are charming and very helpful owner/managers and have thought of everything a visitor might need from a delicious breakfast served by them personally to free beach towels and umbrellas and first rate touring and dining recommendations. Our room (with balcony) was lovely and the view from the rooftop terrace superb.

We loved Provicario…a great location within walking distance of everything in the town and very near to the bus terminal. A beautifully renovated property, tasteful and interesting, in keeping with the age of the building but modernised. Our room was large and comfortable, with a pretty balcony overlooking the street and square. Nice bed linen and towels, good shower. Breakfast was well thought out, local delicacies as well as eggs and super bread. Isabelle and Patrice were perfect hosts.

As it was February, we found the weather a bit chilly! The tiled floors would be such a bonus in the heat of summer, and unfortunately we were not able to use the lovely balcony. But we made good use of the extra bed blanket! very thoughtful.

Lovely location next to Republic and St Georges Squares. Great room/suite with entrance hall and separate bathroom area. Large room with a cute patio looking up to The Citadella. Friendly hosts personally served a nice breakfast. Such a charming property. Really enjoyed the experience and it was just what we had hoped for.

We really had no real issues to complain about. We do prefer a bar fridge in our room but the hosts offered fridge space in the kitchen on the terrace and in the end we did not even make use of same.

Centre of Victoria, very close to the citadel. It’s a perfect location for those who want to visit many places around Gozo, as it’s perfectly connected with the rest of the island. Isabelle and Patrice are lovely hosts. They were happy to provide tips of where to go and even context to the island. The breakfast always included a daily specialty, a treat local to Gozo. While very kind and helpful, the hosts we’re also very good at providing privacy. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Provicario is a dream of a B&B in Victoria on Gozo. Isabelle and Patrice are extremely welcoming hosts and have done an incredible job renovating this beautiful townhouse into a bright, airy set of rooms with a distinct French style. The location is perfect for visiting the Cittadella, sitting literally at the foot of the hill up to it. It's set back from the main road, but with every bar and restaurant Victoria has to offer within easy walking distance. Special thanks to Isabelle and Patrice for a fantastic continental breakfast as well, with daily specials keeping things interesting (we had pastizzi, Gozian goats cheese and other sweet treats). They were also more than happy to loan us beach towels for our kayaking trip, and give us plenty of advice on where best to catch the sunset on the island. We can't recommend Provicario highly enough.

There's nothing not to like!

Isabelle and Patrice are very kind and heart warming persons. The hotel is beautifully furnished and very clean. Perfect location, close to the old Citadelle. Beautiful view from the roof top, where you can enjoy your yummy local breakfast, that changes every day a little bit. We enjoyed our stay a lot! 5 Stars from 5! We would even give more if we could. Isabelle & Patrice were such welcoming hosts. The building is beautiful, clean and so idyllic. Our room had a view of the Citadel, which was an added bonus. Genuinely could not fault our room or our hosts, who will gladly recommend some sights. Breakfast was prepared by I&P themselves and served up on the roof terrace. Plentiful, tasty and great views of both the Citadel (one side) and Basilica (other side). A perfect stay. Thank you Isabelle & Patrice!

we loved everything about this amazing petite hotel in Victoria. It’s location was great, room-best we’d stayed in in months of travel, and the two owners (Isabella and Patrice) extremely kind and informative. Breakfast was great-fresh local cheese, fruit, bread and yoghurts. We would stay at the Provicario again. it was such a highlight of our trip. Thank you!

Remarkable, beautifully restored original townhouse by the plazza and at the feet of the Citadel. Beatiful, comfrotable and airy room. SUPERB mattress (we actually asked for the brand as would like to get one for home) and silky sheets. Perfect, self adjustable AC, beautiful little balcony with a view of the Citadel. Owners are extremely nice, communicative and helpful - gave us good tips for Gozo and Malta, agreed to store our luggage on the last day, also provided additional beach towels. Great breakfast terrace with Citadel view, lovely small breakfast with some local products and a friendly chat with the owners. Homely, non-stuck up ambience with boutique lux rooms, beautiful local interior and best location (at the plazza but quiet, 7 min walk to central bus station). 100% recommend!
