Everything. You're literally in a jungle. They had working WiFi even amidst a thunderstorm. They take card payments. Their rooms are clean and spacious. They have Alexa (also a con). You can drive up to your lodging and park in front. Was considering Rio Bec Dreams but decided to avoid as I've heard, let's just say not so pleasant things about the Canadian couple who owns and runs it. You won't find better value than this if you're visiting Calakmul.

Alexa did not get along too well with the AC commands. Basically just expect to be able to turn it on/off and ours was stuck on fan mode all night for some reason.

The bungalow has everything: bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen. Bedroom and living room in the room-compound are air-conditioned and windows can be closed, the bathroom and open (with mosquito nets) kitchen are not. Large refrigerator located in the kitchen, as well as a water dispenser. We liked everything very much. The restaurant where breakfast and dinner is served is about 5 minutes walk from the bungalow to the complex-entrance, all the pathways are well iluminated also during night. Accomodation-complex itself is very remote located but secured by dogs. All in all perfect for us.

We loved being surrounded by the jungle and listening to the sounds of nature. Casa Lima Limon was spacious and clean - a lovely space to chill out after a busy day visiting Calakmul. The food was tasty and there a nice ambience in the restaurant, as well as two friendly resident dogs. Everything was well cared for and maintained, we felt totally comfortable. We appreciated the free water refills and packed lunches and the children loved the Alexa! We booked Luis as our guide from Calakmul Adventure Tours - he was awesome and I would absolutely recommend contacting him if you plan to go to the temples. He was a really kind and enthusiastic guide who had so much knowledge about the Mayans and the surrounding jungle. He helped us to spot toucans, monkeys, wild turkeys and many other birds and plants. Calakmul and Casa Kaan were off the beaten track and took a fair bit of driving but it was totally worth it, what an experience.

This is an exceptional place to stay. The cabins are rugged but very spacious, very clean and offer great privacy. The food at the quiet restaurant is delightful and the service is thoroughly excellent. It is a very eco-conscious place to stay and we wished we had booked an extra few nights! It is in a good location for exploration - we saw some incredible wildlife at the Calakmul ruins, including spider monkeys and oscillated turkeys. Although the drive to the ruins was fairly long, most of the drive is through the national park so you won’t find it quicker from elsewhere.

For the two nights we spent here, we very much enjoyed our stay. Like the other visitors said, this is the perfect place for overnight stay if you plan to visit Calakmul. The staff members were extremely helpful. Particularly, we had a flat tire and they took the tire to a shop and repair it for us early in the morning, which saved us a lot of trouble (we speak no Spanish) and allowed us to visit Calakmul on the same day. We truly appreciate the help!

dinner is excellent with good service, good food staff are helpful the room is excellent and spacious, a bit like an adventure living in a forest comfortable stay with excellent breakfast

my chalet is a bit far away from restaurant but there is no lighting on the path. It is okay for me since I can use iPhone to lead my way to dinner.

A very spacious and well equipped one bedroom house well located amongst nature for privacy. We used the kitchen to cook lunch in our place and had dinner at the restaurant. We had several entries and the food was really good. The reception and restaurant area is well designed, incorporating nature into the experience. At night time, when the lights go on, the place looks magical. Our Casa had a hammock outside, perfect for reading in the mornings. The bed is very big and comfortable. The fridge is stocked with goodies that can be purchased from the hotel. There was a wine selection included in our Mini Bar Menu as well. The feature that surprised us the most was that the Casa was a smart home and Alexa controlled the lights and AC while keeping us entertained with her music choices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our waiter told us about the Hummingbirds they feed in the mornings and it was a nice addition to our trip seeing them at breakfast. The hotel also handles tours for surrounding ruins and sites to visit. It is definitely worth the visit and we regret not staying another night or two.

Absolutely loved this location in the middle of nowhere and enjoyed our apartment space and the ability to cook for ourselves after shopping for food in nearby Xpijil. Perfect location in the jungle.. the noises, the isolation ... and breakfast was the best we experienced on our trip around QRoo and Campeche. This is the perfect hideaway for visits to Calakmul, Becan and Hormiguero .. all of which we did over 2 days. Staff were excellent!

We had reserved 8 hotels on our road trip in Yucatan area, and I got the best vibes from the cheapest one, Casa Kaan :) After a long drive it appeared as a very homelike place in the middle of the jungle. Staff (and their dogs) welcomed us nicely and their english was fine so we understood everything 😂 We wouldn’t have expected such a fine restaurant here, better than many places in bigger cities and towns we visited. Food was good! Also we were pleased that we chose Casa Kaan over the other options in Xpujil, because it was situated further from the main road going through the town. There are A LOT of trucks on that road and I can imagine that sleeping in the hotels nearby isn’t a treat. We had our own little cabin which was tidy and comfy. AC and Wifi worked fine. No bugs or anything else annoying even the cabin is basically in a forest :)

Properly hidden away in the middle of the jungle, even though it's only just over 6km from Xpujil. We were expecting basic but the room was amazing and the bed was the comfiest (and biggest!) I slept on in the whole of the Yucutan Peninsula! Considering how remote it is, you connect to the wifi by scanning a QR code and the lights in the room can be controlled by an Alexa! There's also a sofa in the room, tea and coffee making facilities (but no milk!), a fridge and a fully-stocked wine bar! The owners were incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. We arrived quite late at night, having got no tour or transport booked to Calakmul the following day. After enquiring about our options, we agreed to book a tour directly with them. But, knowing that we were keen to see the bat cave and also to try and see Calakmul on a budget, the lady suggested instead that we get a collectivo and arranged for us to pick it up from Casa Ka'an. This was half the price of the tour, and they didn't have to mention it but they did in order to help us, and it was greatly appreciated. There's an attached restaurant (a few mins walk from our room, attached to the main reception) and they serve a wonderful breakfast and a fantastic choice of evening meals at pretty reasonable prices. We were gutted that we had to leave early to catch a night bus, because I was so looking forward to a second night in that super comfy bed and a second breakfast too!
