included breakfasts were outstanding and the breakfast deck has a spectacular view. Could have used more shade umbrellas. Pools are great. Hotel was largely empty until the weekend when there were a number of national guests attending a couple of weddings on site which were noisy in the evenings. Prospective guests should know that you need to take an inexpensive water taxi service from Barra de Navidad to get to the hotel. The road access is apparently pretty bad with deep sand in spots.

Last time we got upgraded to a spectacular 9th floor suite, this time stayed on 3rd floor, room was nice but as it was near the pool slide it was a bit noisy during day. I would spring for the upgrade next time.

The staff was beyond helpful Marco @ the front desk And everyone was so polite and professional Armando is amazing we book a speaking event at salon Cortez which was fantastic Santos for the rides to Isla Navidad Resort and to the airport they were very punctual I cannot say enough about the staff at the pool the waiters Omg you must get a massage from Rumi and staff And we went on a boat ride with Sergio which was exciting The Hotel itself to me is pure Luxury The free breakfast is so delicious the chefs and staff Are amazing

breakfast was amazing! the food was very good, and there was a lot of variety. the pool was great, and yoga on the beach every morning was nice. the gym was a plus as I do like to work out every day. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was absolutely the best food I’ve had in Mexico

Some of the facilities were a little rundown, and in need of upgrading. A lot of the equipment in the gym was broken, and needs attention

Grand Bay is a stunning resort, with gorgeous views, impressive buildings and grounds, and a great pool. The breakfast is fantastic and the waiters in the Grand Bay cafe and La Plazuela cafe are so friendly and very attentive. The reception desk were also very helpful.

The housekeeping and cleanliness in the room were not as good as during previous stays. The room was missing some of the amenities and were not restocked, we had to keep asking to have the room cleaned and ask for water, since you can't drink the tap water. All in all, it was fine, we enjoy this resort very much.

The location is beautiful. The food and restaurant setting are excellent. The room was large and with the balcony over the marina it was perfect. We will definitely return. It was so peaceful.

No one was out front to greet us or tell us about parking. I had to wait with baggage, standing around in the reception area without any help while my husband was shown where to park and then walk back from the parking before any attention with our bags to the room. There was no fridge. Even though they had on their notes it was our 28th wedding anniversary no one mentioned it or did anything special. Not even one rose or a chocolate to say congratulations! That was sad.

We loved just about everything. Fabulous buffet breakfast, Unparalleled Views from very spacious room. All the pools and the water slide. Beach VB court, 3 clay tennis courts. Easy access by ponga to Barra and Melaque. Highly recommend this hotel. You will be glad you stayed there. Spent 2 night, boated for 3, and then came back for 2 more. Would go again.

Service one night in the restaurant was poor, but our friends told us they had eaten there 2 nights before and it was great. A little difficult at first to find your way around. We had it by the time we left.

The breakfast was an exceptional buffet offering a variety of fresh fruits, eggs, cheeses, etc etc. Beautiful big clean pool! View over marina superb. Balcony! Drinking water. Very nice linen in room and at the pool. Service oriented staff everywhere in the hotel.

We wish that the pool restaurant would have been opened later than 5:30-6 pm……

Pool area was great. The room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was very good. Most of the staff were pleasant and attentive.

The shower in our room made a huge mess on the bathroom floor because of bad drainage. The faucet in the bathtub leaked, and there was no way to open the accordion doors to the wc! There should have been a knob or ring to pull them open.

Exceptional facilities. Food and service were excellent. The pools and grounds were fantastic. Staff was very helpful and accommodating at all times. The suite we had was clean, spacious and perfect for our needs.

Nothing could have been better. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will definitely be returning. We took this trip as a special treat for Valentines days.

Location and beach

Front lobby not very informative and restaurant staff at the front not very helpful plus times when restaurants open is not attainable. Pool towels to turn them in is only till 6 and housekeeping didn’t pick them up from room even though you informed front desk had to take wet towels downstairs to lobby at check out
