I stayed at Posada el Jardin for five nights. In years of travel I don't think I've ever seen so many positive reviews for accomodation, and they are all correct. El Jardin makes a fantastic base for exploration of the local Mayan sites, and is only a five to ten minute walk from the bus station. This is a little paradise with a stunning tropical garden, ancient trees, squirrels, birds, and a lovely clean azure pool. The rooms are simple, and appropriate for the price, and everything works very well. The shower is hot, though the water pressure in the washbasin is lower. The wifi signal was100% in my room, and the television and air conditioner appeared new. Everything was very clean, and despite being in town, the nights were silent. Visitors are given free breakfast every day of fruit, pastries and honey and tea or coffee. As all the other visitors have said, Roman the owner is a perfect host, caring for guests like family. I was made to feel so welcome and at home. Thank you Roman; I was very sorry to leave.

Everything was fine.

The property had a super beautiful garden and pool, and we had a very large room with an extra sitting room in front of the bedroom, which was very convenient. The hostess was incredible, and offered us everything we could have possibly asked for. The parking lot was secure, and the stay also included a free breakfast.

The pool could have used a skimming, but there were also many plants around the pool that contributed to that, so it was understandable. There were some ants/spiders plus bugs that flew in when doors were open, which was a little inconvenient, but again understandable considering the area and the large garden.

Loved the location, the pool, the grounds. Very nice being so close to Palenque. The howler monkeys at night were incredible!

The little cabana would have been so much nicer with just a couple inexpensive improvements - colorful material on the sides (the structure is open all around with screens) instead of terrible, old brown curtains; some hooks to hang towels, bathing suits, etc; something to set your bag on. The restaurant was expensive and not very good - but glad it was there!

We stayed in a lovely house within a wonderful garden taken care of by Ramon with a lot of dedication. What made the say wonderful was the peace and quiet, green surroundings and, best of all, Ramon's amazing hospitality. My mother was ill and he went out of his way to help us. Definitely recommend his place.

Roman is very nice host and he is very helpful. I loved his garden and the pool! Walking distance from the city center. The rooms are specious and clean. There is a fridge in the room. Beds are comfortable. Wifi connection was slow, but it worked. AC worked very well. We got a complementary breakfast with fruit, sweet bread and tea! Thank you so much and we wish you the best!

There was nothing that I didn't like.

Lovely garden setting, huge room, AC, hot water, kind caretaker, good price, big breakfast, parking (free and safe), good location (not far from the main market and the main square; quiet neighborhood). There's even a swimming pool. We loved everything about this place. I would even consider revisiting the region just to come back to this hotel.

A sweet little oasis! and Teresa was so kind and helpful with anything we needed. offered us tea and coffee on arrival, and breakfast was good. Don’t be put off by the lack of signage out front, once you enter the gate this place is just lovely!

A little tricky to find, a clear sign would help a lot.

Our best stop in Mexico so far; Roman goes out of his way to accommodate you. The Posada is a little oasis, perfect to relax after a few days of traveling. also, he knows the best cenotes and other lesser known sights around!
