Staying in a former palace is a unique and special experience. The tile and woodwork is beautiful. The location is convenient for entering the medina. Having a secure free parking space is a huge bonus. They were also very kind to do our laundry.

We did not receive check in instructions so struggled to find the parking area and building on arrival. The manager of the Riad was very pushy and insisted on providing a guide. We used the guide, and he was very nice and spoke English well. However, much of the city tour involved taking us to areas with shopping opportunities. Please be aware that the guide will receive a commission from any purchases you make so will reduce your negotiating power when making large purchases. Our apartment had a small kitchen that was not well equipped for cooking. The toilet in the primary bathroom was installed on a sloping floor so was very instable. Luckily, there was a second bathroom that we could use.

This is a true gem! We were on the way from Rabat to Merzouga and searched for a place to take a break from driving. So we stayed here and everything was beautiful. They welcomed us with fresh mint tea, fruits and nuts. The room was great, decorated with traditional motives. We used the swimming pool and there was nothing better than a relaxing swim after a whole day driving. We also had dinner there and that was magical. I ate tajine with beef, prunes, quince and pear, as I may recall. Very very tasty. After two weeks in Morocco, I learned that, in most cases, food at the places where you stay (riads, villas, small hotels) is prepared with more love than in the restaurants. So, eat here and you will experience authentic Moroccan food. Stay here and thank me later :)

The Villa is beautiful with fabulous rooms. We had dinner and breakfast also and the food was lovely. All staff were friendly and a delight to stay with. We had the earthquake during the night and staff were very attentive making sure everyone was outside and safe and understood what was happening. We were amazed to leave the next morning to find our van had even been washed. Truly fabulous accommodation. Thoroughly recommend.

We loved everything

Exceptional staff. I got very sick and luckily we were able to stay an extra night. The staff kept giving my husband tips on how I could get better (I had food poisoning, not from there of course) and also gave us some bananas and soda to help. The pool was lovely, sadly I couldn't eat but had heard the food was good. Our car was even cleaned while sitting outside. Plenty of safe parking on the street.

It's a lovely building but could do with a little TLC. The bathroom was just getting a little old that's all.

Safe, clean villa offering privacy and quietness for guests. Spacious room, comfortable bed and pillows. Large bathroom, tones of hot water. Very good WIFI. Excellent supper and breakfast in the beautifully decorated restaurant, Sami (reception and dining) - very attentive, friendly and kind. Bonus - safe parking. They even washed our car: of course, small tip is always customary. Perfect stop between Merzouga and Fes, do not hesitate to book here.

Beautiful Villa with swimming pool, restaurant and much more what we didn't see because we stayed there only for 1 night :( Very big and quite cozy room with a big bathroom. Halpful and friendly staff

We could only complain about the beds that were not comfortable at all... If someone like super-soft beds - this is heaven, but we don't. The overall price could also be cheaper - it was our most expensive stay (out of 9) in Marrocco. This is Midalt, not Marrakesh my friends ;) If you are going from Fes to Merzouga there is just very few options to stay, otherwise it would be too expensive for us.

The staff of this villa is absolutely incredible. I wasn't feeling well during my stay there but they went out of their way to help me, they brought food to my room, offered to call a doctor, etc. Everyone is very welcoming and I really appreciated every interaction I've had with them. The villa itself is well maintained and very cozy, the swimming pool is great. The food is very good too with big portions. I'd definitely recommend a stay here!

First of all I must praise the service here because Sammy has done a first class job! It does not get better than this! The food in the evening was one of the best I had in Morocco. The villa is of course old but also cozy. The beds are so soft that we fell asleep unintentionally in the afternoon. The pool was exactly how you want a pool to be. I can only recommend the hotel! We had an amazing stay!

New sun loungers needed!

Everything! Easy to find location, you can park in the street, but it is guarded/watched 24/7. As we noticed, because the moment we parked someone came out to welcome us and help us with our bags. Everything in the hotel is very good quality… not only the complimentary mint tea on arrival but also the really excellent dates and fresh peanuts. Our room was great, with a very comfortable bed. The location is central, but very quiet, so we slept very good. Breakfast was… very good. And the staff is genuinely friendly. i wish we could have stayed longer…

I cannot thinking anything. Ok, if I have to be very critical: at 60 MAD the breakfast is a bit pricy.. but then again: it was very good!

Very nicely renovated old house or villa with a nice pool and garden. Old (original) furniture and interior but modern bath. This is how the “old Morrocco” must have been. Very friendly personnel, good breakfast (no buffet) and dinner can be ordered and was good. No parking – we parked on the street in front of the security cameras. No problem. If I ever need to stay longer in the area I would book here again.
