This is a historic hotel on the main square in the village of Hoek van Holland. The staff were without fail friendly & helpful. We had the best night's sleep here of our entire 2 week trip! The room was wonderful - with a mezzanine for the comfortable bed. An amazing shower! The breakfast was very good, and the evening meal in the restaurant was splendid. This hotel is very well placed for the ferry to Harwich, the Metro to both Rotterdam, Scheidam - and now - to the beach.

We didn't realise that the room had stairs to the mezzanine bed - this might have been a problem for someone with greater mobility difficulties (I believe that the staff would have changed us to another room if we had insisted - but the room design should be clearer at booking).

We travel every year for the past 4 years to this hotel and will definitely come back. Very friendly and helpful staff, amazing restaurant. The rooms are stylish and spacious, the location is great!

The breakfast is really modest, we are used to a completely different morning routine. The breakfast is supposed to end at 10:15 but at 9:15 there were not much left, so it was a bit disappointing. The beds are too soft for us.

Very clean, comfortable Hotel which is convenient for the Ferry and Metro. The room was very nicely decorated and well equipped. Our room had a little garden which was a bonus. Breakfast was included in the price and the food was of good quality and there was enough choice. Staff were friendly and our room was spotless. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

The room we had was split level with the bedroom area upstairs. This may be unsuitable for those with mobility problems.

The split level room is an interesting design but it does mean that, with the bathroom downstairs, the open staircase poses a slightly creaky visit down in the middle of the night. If you have any problem with climbing stairs, then this is not the room for you. The room does get warm and the air-conditioning needed regassing as it was struggling and could not pump out the chill.

Decent hotel in a building which has a century of history. If you come by car you can leave your vehicle nearby on the street for free. The breakfast was good, the rooms were spacious and clean. There are multiple restaurants available in walking distance from the hotel.

This is not Hotel Amerika's fault but acomodation in the Netherlands in general is ridiculously overpriced.

Steep staircase to first floor, although lift is available. Hotel Bistro not open every night, but other restaurants available nearby

Breakfast was brilliant, just what we needed. We had dinner at the Bistro and the food was exceptional! Congratulations to the chef , one of the best meals I have had! Serving staff Stephen and the lady (don’t know her name) were really good! Really looked after you, can’t recommend enough!

Plenty of choice. Good food. Hoed van Holland is a nice town. Plenty of shops and eateries. Lovely clean beach just a short drive away with plenty of parking at the beach.

We were fortunate enough to have a blue badge for parking, and was able to find a place quite close to the hotel. Otherwise it’s pay and display for a limited time during the day. Overnight free.

Great location and very stylish rooms. It was our second stay and definitely not the last. The restaurant is amazing! The food, the drinks, the staff - we were extremely pleased.

The air conditioner wasn’t working, which was not so bad because it wasn’t that hot but we wanted a little refreshing in the room. The receptionist on the 7th May was extremely unprofessional and impolite, hope not to meet that woman again. Really bitter experience.

I love staying here, the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is right by the shops and with great places to eat around alongside the bistro inside. The bistro is welcoming and the food is amazing.
