The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful Breakfast was great The situation- ie Marken, is unique- cycling through waterland on a summer evening was almost surreal.A shame I had little time to explore, but I'll definitely return and would be delighted to stay at De Pepersteeg again
It had taken me 11 hours to cycle there from Europoort -obviously not the fault of De Pepersteeg! Otherwise nothing

Quaint B&B. Cute small village. Breakfast at restaurant down the street - not at the “hotel”, but very good. We had two rooms on the same floor with a shared kitchen area. Nice break from Amsterdam!
The spiral staircase to get to the rooms! Worked out ok but was not prepared for that. A bit of a challenge to park a car but that worked out too.

The breakfast was good and the owner who served it was very friendly. Ioved that the B& B was so individual and pretty, and that it was a bit of a hidden gem - and that it was the only place in Markin to stay, which meant that in the evening, you could sit and watch the sun go down with a drink in the port. A real treat. Very pretty town as well.
nothing, it was all just right, Full of character.

Clean, amazing location, friendly staff
I didn't realise that bathroom and toilet are shared facilities - but this is clearly indicated on their page, I just missed it. Breakfast is also in another property some 100m away. But those little inconveniences don't spoil the stay there. Very cosy and a little quirky (but in the right way)

Nice traditional house, with tastefully decorated and comfortable rooms. I very much enjoyed the shared access to a well equiped kitchen with courtesy coffee/tea. Excellent buffet breakfast at the restaurant run by the owner (a very welcoming and accomodating person).
Nothing negative to say. The shared toilets and shower are impeccable and not an inconvenience at all.

Bertus is a TOP HOST, willing for everything. It was a pleasure met him as well as have dinner in his Restaurant, same place of valuable breakfast. Marken is a such amazing place, the B&B deserves all the previous positive feedbacks.
It would be great to have some feature to get more dark on the room in early morning

I really liked this wonderful place and everything was as in the photos. The host was so kind and I appreciated delicious breakfast, the room has definitely all what is necessary. The accommodation is so close to museum, the protestant church, supermarket and is a pleasure just to enjoy the a walk and discover Marken. I will sure come again and recommend to relax here.

The apartment locates in the centre of a village, by church and it's a cozy, small traditional Dutch house. The interior is so colorful, cozy and sweet 😍. Breakfast was great.
A steep stairs can be uncomfortable for some people, but for me it wasn't a problem, more like a special feature.

This is a very cute Bed and Breakfast on the beautiful island of Marken. The owner is very nice and helpful, speaks German and Dutch. Breakfast is served at his restaurant a few walking minutes away. The location is lovely.

Lovely, calm place on the former island, in the famous traditional village. Can't stop loving the feeling there. The breakfast was lekker, in a nearby restaurant, I think it is cool that it is not served in the same building.
Everything was just perfect.
