The Sheraton Deva is a luxury resort and meets all the criteria you would expect from a first class spa and golf resort. The location on the beach was terrific, the rooms were very good and the pool immaculate - the grounds were beautiful with lots of bird life. Breakfasts were a smorgasbord and had everything you would imagine. The staff were very polite and helpful. There were many hiking walks to be taken in the area.

The Reef restaurant had a limited menu at dinner and the food was only average and expensive - this is definitely something that could be improved. The hotel is expensive but not more than you would expect to pay at this quality of resort. The manager of the restaurant had a lot of anger issues in dealing with the staff which was both amusing to watch in a Basil Fawlty kind of way but also rather off putting to see someone manage their staff like this.

The location and buildings were beautiful. The staff were very friendly and on most occasions very helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and pretty well equipped. All the meals we ate at the Reef restaurant we thought were excellent, especially the dinner buffet.

Less attention to detail than you’d ideally expect from a 5 star resort. Tea/coffee facilities in room were minimal. TV didn’t work that well. Air con in our room broke and we had to switch rooms. And most disappointingly, for the duration of our stay the swimming pool was unexpectedly closed for maintenance.

The Melanesian Architecture provides a great 1st impression . We appreciated being given a resort map & good overview/induction of the resort & facilities on check in .The Oceanfront rooms quite & relaxing . The interiors are tastefully decorated , spacious ,comfortable, well furnished .There is good indoor outdoor flow from room to deck with lounging furniture & table & chairs. . The bathrooms are luxurious and toiletries are provided. Pool area has plenty of umbrellas & loungers. The pool water is not overly chlorinated and a pleasant temperature .Close to the beach is a furnished shady area to relax under trees . Beachfront restaurant is very appealing . Reception staff are helpful & friendly . Breakfasts & pizza's are delicious, extensive range of deserts at the buffet. Enjoyed the golf cart rides back to our room at night .

The beach is pretty , lagoon is weedy & we didn't think it was great for swimming . Athough we were assured the snakes in the water & beach don't bite we found them disconcerting . The lighting at night from the main building to the ocean villas isn't good & paths are not clearly visible in the dark so best to take a cart back. There was only 1 teabag and no milk in our room but were quickly provided on request. The room wifi was unreliable ,we were given an alternative connection which was very stable .

Beautiful place, stunning scenery and great facilities. Peaceful and everything you need to have a relaxing time in a beautiful setting. We’d really encourage grabbing a hire car (the drive is super easy) as it gives you more flexibility to explore, you can hire bikes at the resort and we saw people cycling to Poe but if you want to do the 3 bays walk or grab some supermarket supplies then you’ll be needing a car. We didn’t use the pool but it looked lovely, the beach is great for swimming. We were in the furthest bungalow and loved it as we like peace and quiet. It was (at most) a 5 min walk to the main restaurant, easy and great for walking off the buffet! Some great walks available from the resort lots were super easy and chill. There’s horseriding next door and kayaks/stand up paddle boards available too.

Food choices at the resort are a little limited (but delicious!) head to Poe for lighter snacks/lunch and the small supermarket in Bourail - get a hire car!

A beautiful site, in the middle of a nature reserve with lots of birds. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, without exception. Speaking French is clearly an advantage. The hotel is very luxurious for New Caledonia, but you should expect a different standard than usual for a 5-star hotel. It is true that the prices in the restaurants are high, but that's not unusual (food and drinks are also expensive in Noumea).

The only thing that bothered us was that after a rainy and stormy night, the pool wasn't cleaned, although there would have been more than enough time in the morning. So the pool remained full of leaves and also the temperature was always very cool.

I travelled with my finance and family, and this Sheraton didn't disappoint. The beauty of this Sheraton is a combination of the uniqueness of the property, the lovely fresh food on offer and the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and helped us along with our attempt at using French, the breakfast buffet was fantastic and the lunch by the beach was fantastic. The golf course is long and difficult but the more you play it the more you enjoy it. The facilities are a bit tired but nothing that will impede on your beautiful stay, can't wait to come back!

The wine was very expensive but I believe a lot of it is imported in from France, the facilities were slightly jaded and it was a bit difficult to get room service sometimes but the resort did their best with the staff they had

Very relaxing and chilled out vibe. The staff were all so helpful, gracious and friendly. It was away from everything which is what we were looking for to unwind. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Hard to find anything missing from their offering. It’s a large spaced out property - we enjoyed our walk from the main reception/dining/pool area to our room - helped us walk off our food! There were always golf buggy’s and staff available to take you anywhere around the resort. Our room was very spacious and comfortable.

Temperature of the pool was on the cool side (but not the end of the world) and closing time of the Sands Beach lunch restaurant (which was excellent) was 2pm - 3pm closing would have been great.

We enjoyed the room and the location. It's more remote and very connected to nature. The kitchen in our room was well-equipped and had everything we needed. I saw previous comments about the meals being super expensive in the hotel so we stopped by the supermarket in Bourail and bought everything we needed. The room was great and spacious. The staff was friendly. We had lunch at the beach restaurant once and it was good. The beach was lovely, but the water was a bit cold. And you need to set expectations if you're looking for a fancy 5 star hotel. It's more like a 4 star hotel in a remote location.

A dedicated space for children with in the pool area with heated water would be nice. And some parts of the hotel need renovation.

The food was yummy. Service was outstanding. Very relaxing place.

So far, to walk to everything. Everything is spread out too far. Expect a hike from your room to spa, bat, restaurants, pool, beach & reception. They do have pick-up services at your service, though. Limited English speakers. Rooms need a bit of TLC they are good, just not like what you see in the pictures on the website.
