This was a delightful B and B situated just outside Kaikoura. Extremely well appointed including an excellent bed and great pillows which are so important for a good night’s sleep! The host was charming and most helpful. There was a really spacious guest lounge where we were able to relax after eating out locally.

The breakfast was the only disappointing aspect of our stay. If we did not want cereals, there was only white sliced bread which could be toasted, and poor instant coffee. We gather there were also yogurts in the fridge.

Pete was a very friendly and welcoming host. Very quiet and scenic spot at the end of the Kaikoura penisula. Close to walkways and Seal colony. I didn't vist these on this occasion as I was tired and weather was cold and wet. But great location on a good day. Itr's an old homestead on a farm with a campsite as well.

There was no lock on my bedroom door and front door was not locked. I was not worried personally by this as it was a remote spot and just prayed for protection. But these issues may be of concern to single women travellers. Unfortunately there are more weird lawless people around.

We loved our stay at The Point B&B, beautiful large home. Peter was so welcoming and attentive and his daughter Kate both lovely people. A beautiful comfortable room, and most comfortable bed ensured a good night sleep. Lovely fresh farm eggs every morning for breakfast, fresh coffee and we sat on the porch looking at the most gorgeous view of the sea and snow capped mountains. A 10/10 accommodation.

The location was outstanding! Lovely surround porch with view of the water & mountains. Close to town for shopping. Breakfast was serve yourself and basic.

Checkin was very friendly with a cuppa and a TimTam with the owner. Sitting on the porch with a drink in the evening with excellent views of the sea and mountains was fantastic! The room was comfortable with a very good bed with ample pillows to choose from.

This was probably more our problem than that of the venue. Our room was in the family home which at times meant we were a little bit closer to the family than we had anticipated. The house is on a farm and the owner was up and about at 5am. With the kitchen very close to our room this was a bit of a problem for light sleepers.

Loved the farmhouse, location, room, gardens and the view. The room was comfortable and adequate for our one night stay. The location was very peaceful away from the town and close to the seal colony. The host, Peter, had excellent communication at the time of booking and before our stay. He was friendly, gave us a very warm welcome to his home and excellent directions for a local walk.

The view really sells this place! It’s in an absolutely stunning area and away from the busy town center. You really cannot have a more picturesque location. The vibe is definitely relaxed and chill. We loved walking down to the seal colony area and doing the loop.

Pleasant owner, helpful, and open. We stayed in a room in the main house, with ensuite and access to the kitchen etc. Invited to use family spa, and join them for a drink on their deck.

This is a working sheep farm, open to tourists; it has tent and campervan sites as well as the room in the main house, and is family run. The only downside was a lack of a woman's touch in the ensuite, it wasn't dirty or untidy, just needs a different perspective.

The Point B&B is located just out of Kaikōura town in a gorgeous historic home, literally on the point. Peter, the host, made us feel most welcome and very at home. He shared with us his great local knowledge of the town. Beautiful views from our bedroom and great breakfast supplies. Delightful and would highly recommend.

The location is away from the center and quiet. , There is the pub just down the road that serves great food. Beautiful view from the B and B terrace looking out to the water. Host is so kind and nothing was a problem . Breakfast was good.
