We booked the place as we will be doing a trail at Mt Cook and the location was perfect. It was close the Mount Cook, the salmon shops and Twizel town. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The place has a small kitchen to prepare meal, enough for one person to be in. There is also enough space to park our car. The area was quiet and peaceful too. I would recommend the place for a couple of small group of friends!

We could not develop the art of controlling the hot water in the shower - a little more practice is needed. Other than that, all was good!

We stayed for one night to explore Mt Cook national park. The place was incredibly clean including the bed and bath linen. It was spacious too with a separate kichen section. The bathroom even had a heated towel rack and a heater. A lot more amenities than we expected. Given how difficult it is to find accommodation close to Mt Cook this was really good and couldn’t recommend enough. Really good value for money

There weren’t really any mountain views as was in the photos from the room as they were mostly covered but that was a very minor thing.

Completely functional unit in a great location to access the town centre and explore the nearby national parks. Heating warmed the chalets up quickly in cold weather.

Just seemed pretty no frills compared to other NZ hotels we stayed in at a similar price, and not as looked after. E.g. bedroom light was blown, heater didn't work in one unit and had to get a staff member to fix it (apparently a known problem but no one came to check before we sought them out and it was COLD), literally one spoon/bowl per person which made preparing meals a bit of a pain, couldn't find any staff at checkout time or a box to leave keys. But overall a fine stay, no deal breakers.

Very good location can access to the restaurants and supermarket within 1 to 5 minutes. The room itself is very cosy and comes equipped with aircon and heater so you are covered in all weather conditions.

Not a big deal but providing some clothes hangers and hari dryer would have made the whole facility more complete.

We stayed with kid and used the hotel mostly for sleep and cooking as we were mostly out for drives and adventures. Ride to Lake pukaki was just 10 mins away. Mount cook was 45 mins away but I must say that was the best drive I have ever experienced in my life, if staying here drive these route for sure: - drive to Mount Cook National park - drive to Lake tekapoo - star gazing as outside the motel it was super dark and the whole sky was full of stars - many small hikes near by - ample space for kids and their play ground with many swings - car parking just in front of your room - independent house as your room - all kitchen stuffs The staff(family running the business) were kind and polite and very helpful. The only thing they need to work on is the wifi, it was poor most of the time and getting disconnected every now and then

Very handy location and a variety of accommodation on site would suit different groups and gatherings. Rooms were lovely and clean. Friendly staff and definitely good value for money. I would stay again.

wee bit dated/worn but feel thats reflected in price. Didnt impact our stay though. One of our group had a kitchen but there was no cooktop, just a microwave. didnt impact us again, but would recommend you check if you want one when you book. Couple of basic items missing in kitchens (vegetable/chopping knives) Nothing major at all that would stop me staying again.

Stay was good and warm , bed comfortable. all facilities worked ,but bulb not going in main room and outside light not working and kitchen water forset needs to be attended to ,loose in bench and not swinging freely, every thing was nice and clean , I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. Thanks

Was pleased with things supplied . and its situation for my work trip. don't really have anything I didn't like , think its good accommodation

Location was good, just outside of the township and very close to a park and cafe. Easy to get to from the main road. Chalet was comfortable and had everything we needed. Air con and the ceiling fan were useful. Layout of the lounge was a bit unusual. Stairs would be very unsuitable for young children. Bed was comfortable. Nice and clean.

Lounge chairs weren't overly comfortable. Shower was very old fashioned, one of those 3 walled, metal tray ones with a curtain and a fixed shower head attached to the wall. Chalet was a bit dated overall.

We stayed in the holiday home not the Motel. We loved the house, the beds, the private yard, Sky movies, spacious kitchen/living area, additional toilet, cleanliness, and nicely decorated home. Lovely check in by a young man.

No information book about house facilities or to say it was serviced or unserviced. Or what Twizel had to offer. Unfortunately we had a medical situation while staying there so having local medical phone numbers available would of been good. This was due to the washing machine leaking which caused a serious fall in the garage. Minor things like no tea towel in house. More facecloths. Soap dispenser in additional toilet.

Great location, easy to find. Great chalet, had everything we needed - cutlery, crockery, toaster, fridge, kettle, washing up gear. All modern fittings. Great for a short stay. Front faced onto other chalets but the back looked out over a field so we sat round the back. Easy check in and check out.

Possums on the roof late at night gave me a bit of a fright - they were running about and making shrieks and cries which were very weird - I've not heard them before. Fine once I realised what it was. 😂
