Staff very friendly and helpful, although she didn’t know the opening times of the local cafe she was recommending for breakfast🤷‍♀️ The room was extremely spacious had plenty of room for our tube bags- two chairs. Kitchenette with decent size small fridge there was even ice in the freezer. Everything was clean and tidy. We had dinner at the restaurant on site - best meal we’ve had on our three weeks NZ your Even though their online menu was old; the steak was cooked to perfection with delicious garlic prawns… could not fault it and the waitress was… Sweet as😃🤣 and very entertaining.

My only criticism would be That the microwave was a rusty and we couldn’t find the kettle …also there was scuff marks around the wall. It could do with a lick of paint. Warning: close bathroom door and kitchen doors - it makes the room very bright when the sun comes up.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 days and everyday they helped us with towels, cleaning products and literally anything we asked for. AMAZING bunch of people there. The pool was a hit with my daughter and was shallow enough for the little ones but deep enough for little jumps. Great for the hot weather. Guest paundry was perfect at only $2 per wash and a line/pegs available. We will absolutely be back :)

Not a big deal at all, but the wifi was down which made things a littme trickier as data wasnt that great due to reception and i needed to do a few things online.

It was a spur of the moment booking for 6 adults and 5 children. We were tired and late for check in. Ringing ahead to let them know they were very accommodating and put my mind at ease to just be safe and arrive when we could. Very grateful for all of this.

By the River, close to town, Restaurant at Lodge.

Fan didn't work. Handbasin wash cracked and the note on window to say Please don't open as latch is broken. It was very hot that afternoon and we couldn't open that window or use the Fan. There was a cat that jumped through the bathroom window and layed on our bed, not a cat lover, when we let it out it started meowing and whining at the door.

Excellent location with access to the lovely riverside walk for an early morning jog before work. The onsite restaurant was a bonus serving great meals and fantastic service. The bed was a bit dated but comfortable after a long day. Very spacious and clean rooms with all of the amenities needed.

Apart from the dated bed, everything else was excellent.

We had x2 one bedroom apartments and x1 deluxe. Absolutely loved the one bedroom apartments and the 2nd deluxe room that was offered to my parents. Location was great as well

The first deluxe room that was offered - But I didn't mind as I understand that Wairoa had just gone through the floodings! So it's really not a negative.

The receptionist lady she's so welcoming and lovely. Our room the beds are super comfy, the space in each room was perfect.

Something minor very minor nothing really to complain about but the remote the buttons weren't at times working tried changing the batteries and still wouldn't work. But we managed to get it working a little. But as I said that's minor.

The food from the restaurant was delicious, considering it was closing in half an hour. They said yes to us ordering and even had it delivered to the room after a very long day 🙏 portions were a bit too big though.

It was the first time i slept in this specific room, but the shower must have been built by a skinny person 🤦‍♀️🤣

The staff were lovely, very welcoming. Was my partner, 2 tamariki & I the room was perfect for us felt like home away from home.

The walls were very thin, our first night we had very noisy neighbors could hear them clearly talking through the walls after 10pm my partner knocked on the door and told them to be quiet.

Lovely owner and very accomodating especially as i understand information was not updated to the facility by Booking.com. we were upgraded with no extra cost.
