The motel had a designated vape area. cant vape in your patio on the table and chairs outside your room. Every time I went exited the hotel, I seen the Owner sitting in a room with the curtain half open, just watching everyone go in and out of the motel, not professional at all. Paying customers should not have somebody watching their every move , or feel like they are on surveillance during their stay. Myself and another unit noticed this during our stay

Absolutely lovely welcome to the property and the room. Very personal but also professional. Clean and well maintained bedroom and bathroom, with a big shower as well as separate spa bath. Spacious bedroom and living area but at the same time did not feel empty....I think it would have been very comfortable for a prolonged stay. Only there for one night so didn't have need to cook, but seemed to have good facilities for meal prep. Walking distance to town centre and easy to find, which was great at the end of a 6 hour drive!!

Room was very well laid out. Plenty of space, and very well appointed. Modern furnishings and very well finished. Everything worked as expected. Escorted to room, shown all relevant information...... no Guesswork Best of 18 hotels we stayed at in NZ by far. 500m from a 15km out and back walk track. walking distance (less than 1km) to fast food outlets. Would thoroughly recommend.

I looked very hard for something that was less than perfect...... I gave up. Fantastic room.

Immaculately clean and well presented rooms. The bed was huge and super comfortable, and a nice big bathroom with a spa bath and shower. There is plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The motel is located on a main road, but with double glazing and blackout curtains, not a sound could be heard. Great motel managers who, on my arrival, gave me a room upgrade for no additional cost. I have never given such a good review like this to a motel before, but this one deserves it.

Right from check in the reception staff were warm and welcoming and checking in was a breeze. I was shown to my room and and was given a tour of the amenities and how things worked. The unit was beautifully presented, it was lovely and clean and had all of the essential to make my overnight stay a comfortable one. I really appreciated the double glazed windows as the road noise would not made for a pleasant stay. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this palce.

Nothing I didn't like

We had a 2 bdrm family unit. It is was very modern with a fully equipped kitchenette and large bathroom shared between 2 rooms. Most notable was the cleanliness of the entire complex and especially our room. The room had a large smart tv in the lounge, comfortable seating and air conditioning. The bedrooms had ceiling fans which were handy when it warmed up outside. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

I was very impressed with the owner when we arrived he showed us our room he showed us how to use the sky on the tv asked what temperature we wanted the aircon talked about the block out curtains and the sheer curtains showed us the information book and where the password for the wifi was. He was such a lovely guy. Would I stay there again 110% this is now my go to motel in Whatakane.

Nothing needed to improve here

The room had a seperate lounge room and was very spacious. There was plenty of light and the cleaning was exceptional. The staff were lovely and the managers gave great service, even came into our room and showed us how to use everything. Also there was a great mini kitchen which meant we could cook in if needed. The position was very handy, close to everything, we walked everywhere. There was a little bit of traffic noise but windows and doors were double glazed so sleeping was not a problem. Top quality fittings throughout. A Pleasant surprise to start our journey.

The only 2 things were that the lounge chairs were quite hard so not so comfortable although we were out a lot anyway. We would've appreciated air con in the bedroom as well as the lounge but there was a fan. Neither of these were a big deal.

couch and armchair uncomfortable, shower head requires attention and shower pressure, no tv in bedroom, noisy extractor fan every time light on in bathroom , no microwave.

Clean the premises, bench tops and tables, and bathrooms and bedrooms. Parking is a plus, including the locality of the property to town. Being shown to your room and shown how to use the TV and aircon is a nice touch (I travel up and down the country and you do not always get this at other properties)

I liked everything about the property which is why over the past 2 years I have stayed and my contract with my client does not end until EOY 2024, so I have pre-booked my rooms.
