I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bodø Hostel & Motel, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. This hidden gem in the heart of Bodø is a fantastic choice for travellers looking for comfort, affordability, and a welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was the communal areas. The hostel has a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare your meals, a cozy lounge, and a spacious dining area. These spaces encourage socializing and meeting fellow travellers from around the world. I had some memorable conversations with other guests during my stay.

While my stay at Bodø Hostel & Motel was overall enjoyable, there was one minor inconvenience that I must mention. The proximity to the train station did lead to occasional disturbances from the train noise, especially during the night. Nothing some ear plugs can't fix!

The room was clean and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The location is superb if you're transferring through Bodø as the hostel is located directly above the train station and within a 5-minute walk from the ferry. The hostel provides laundry services, which was very helpful. Our room was quite small with bunk beds, but that was to be expected. There are several good restaurants, a small shopping mall, and a grocery store located within walking distance from the hostel.

Wifi was inconsistent in the room, but worked well when out in the shared areas (kitchen, dining area). Don't waste 20 NOK for coffee near the front desk..it's worse than petrol station coffee. Just go to the train station restaurant below the hostel or walk to a nearby cafe.

We booked last minute and got a separate room for all of us together. The room was small but clean. Two nice large windows made it roomier and nice clean bathroom. It felt new and clean and safe. The kitchen was ok and a large dining room. Lots of nice people from all over the world cooking and eating sharing their experiences of Lofoten etc. The staff was welcoming and friendly all spoke English.

The only thing I can remember is that the pillows were not great. I would recommend if you have extra room in you bags to bring an extra pillow. We didn’t use the tv so we can’t say if it worked.

Great little place to rest my head! I came in from Lofoten Islands late at night, so the self check-in was very convenient and easy to navigate. This was only about 10 minutes walk from the ferry port, another plus coming from a long ferry ride. The price was excellent and very affordable for Norway! Beds were very comfortable for a dorm, and I roomed with some really lovely girls and saw the Northern Lights that night! Will definitely use this as a stop over point next time on Bodø.

I arrived late so I love the easy self check-in. Also the location is really nice to visit Bodø. It's also possible to leave early since there is an express check-out. The bathroom was clean and inside the shared room and it seems quite soundproof.

Except that I didn't find any charger near my bed and that we were hearing the spring of my bed each time I got up, I have nothing to say.

The location of the hostel is top notch if traveling by train. The room was clean, if basic- but it is a hostel! I will definitely stay again next time I am in Bodoe. As an older female solo traveler, I feel confident in recommending Bodoe Hostel as a safe, well located, reasonably priced accommodation. I had a great view, and I really appreciated the laundry room.

All good except for needing a room card for the elevator

I liked the atmosphere inside the Hostel. The location to stay in Bodo can not be better than this. The staff was super friendly. They gave us an early check-in as we reached earlier than the expected time. We liked the kitchen as it was cleaned and all the kitchen necessities were available there. There is a Common area for dinings and have additional sofa's. So if you reach early and no rooms are available for you to ckeck-in, you may utilize that space which is so quite generally. I would highly recommend the property.

I arrived late, but the hostel was very good communicating how I could enter if I arrived after 11pm. I'd asked for a lower bunk, which they very kindly reserved for me. The dorm was clean and the bathroom was very good. Using their lovely big fluffy towel was an added luxury after a long day travelling. The location couldn't be better, close to the ferry, railway station and airport!

This place was great - check in was super convenient for those late night arrivals, instructions were sent and it was super easy. Bed and room was comfy and clean. The shared kitchen was spacious and had everything for our breakfast. It is super close to the ferry you get to the Lofoten Islands: 5walk and literally same building as train station. 7-10min walk to the piers and restaurants so happy guests :)

Everything we needed after a 7 days hike in Lofoten islands:, a shower, a washing machine, and good beds. The room was clean, the staff was nice. And it was cheap.

The bunk bed wasn't safe, the ladder wasn't properly fixed to the bed. In our opinion, it is super dangerous for a children. The train station makes some noise. We woke up early so it was ok for us.
