Lillet was the most wonderful hostess. She offered options of things to do without every being pushy. She was extremely gracious and friendly. The hotel was very relaxed with a good vibe of watching the ocean or chatting with new friends. There was a good sized pool although I did not use it. It was clean and clear. Hot and cold water dispenser and shower was very good. Wifi was very good although not always outside at the upper sitting area. Easy walk to town or places to eat.

Stayed here for 3 nights and we had the place near enough to ourselves. The facilities on site were great. Free cold water and hot water for drinking, staff very helpful. Pool cleaned every day and has some great chill out areas. Sari sari store across the road and a lovely little food place within 2 minute walk and very cheap. It's a 10 minute walk into the town but plenty of tricycles go by if you prefer not to walk (think it's about 20 pesos each). Bus stops outside the hotel if you plan on travelling. The only downside for us was that our private bathroom was down the hall but it outweighed the fact we near enough had the place to ourselves. Nice views over the ocean, ice cold aircon, overall we very much enjoyed our stay here. It's not a perfect place but it is nice if are not too fussy like us. They arrange a very good whale watching experience, tourguide 100% top guy and again much much cheaper then most organised tours.

Germaroze really surprised us. We really weren't sure what to expect before arriving, but we ended up being happy with the whole place and staying extra days. We got an ocean view room and it was perfect for us. The room was basic, but had a comfortable bed. It overlooked the pool and had an amazing sunrise ocean view. The pool was nice and the internet worked well. There is also ocean access. The room was quiet at night. There are also a couple of sitting areas that look out over the ocean that are nice to chill out at or to work at. I enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs and working, while having the whole ocean in front of me. The place is within walking distance of town, but it is like 40pesos for a ride. We rented a scooter from next door for like 400 pesos per day, which worked really well. The staff were awesome. The woman cooked us breakfast in the mornings for like 130pesos. Simple, but good. The value for the money is a big one here. You get a good, clean room with a pool, internet, hot water and an amazing ocean view for about $20USD per day. Pretty darn hard to beat.

Germaroze far exceeded our expectations. For about 20USD per night, we got a basic room, but with an amazing ocean view. I got to wake up each morning to an incredible sunrise. Like I said, the room is basic, but it was clean and nice. The pool was also fantastic and there were some great areas to sit and relax and/or work. We also had breakfast made for us one morning. 100pesos for an omelet, toast and coffee is a pretty great deal. She did a great job too. I also rented a scooter for 500pesos per day that did the job well too. Overall, I'm extremely happy with Germaroze and would highly recommend them.

The water pressure wasn't consistent. Sometimes it would be fine and sometimes there would be almost no water.

Rambling old mansion converted into a guesthouse. While it's true that the property has seen better days, it's still kept clean, staff are helpful and arrange a decently priced and guided tour to see the whale sharks. Has a little shop that sells snacks and drinks. All in all a very decent budget option in Oslob with a nice ambiance and a beautiful view over the ocean.

The swimming pool was under rennovation when we were there, but they had an arrangement with the resort next door to use theirs. It seems like they stopped selling meals and was quite a walk to town to get the basics. Found out later that the resort next door also offered meals which would have been nice to mention. The roadside rooms were a bit noisy.

The Family Room was exactly as shown in the pictures - it was spacious and clean, with a great view of the sea. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was really big! The room leads out onto the pool which was big and maintained well, and the outdoor areas had lots of tables and different kinds of chairs to relax. There was also free hot water available and a mini store where guests could buy other drinks. The staff were so kind and hospitable and helped us to set up transport for our various activities while we were there.

In the family room, there is a window in the shower area that shows out onto the next door property. It's easy to see other people at night, making us unsure whether they could see us while we were taking a shower. Also there is another window in the bathroom that faces onto a public area in the hotel. Some thicker curtains or blinds might be helpful to help shield guests.

Wonderful little gem nestled in Oslob with a great view of the sea and pool area. There was 20 of us with plenty of screaming ankle biters that were noisy but the owner didn't mind at all. ROOMS: Icy cold aircon with a comfortable mattress and pillows which made staying a great experience. AMENITIES: Outdoor lounges and combined meals area with a kitchen to cook our own food and the pool was well maintained and balanced. Just a few minutes from the whale sharks. Deffo making the booking again.

Amazing, serene, we loved it. We had a 180o ocean view from our windows. We could walk down half a dozen steps from our room and snorkel amongst colourful coral home to lots of different fish, starfish, sea cucumbers, etc. There is a scrumo chicken wings restaurant almost across the road. It was an easy walk into town. Staff can organize tuk tuk to whale sharks or other places, there is also a driver with car available who speaks fluent English and staff can organise motorbike. The ocean views from the dining/breakfast area and pool were peaceful. Sunrise and sunset were amazing. There is even a view from the shower. The ensuite was large. We were on the ground floor, and didn't need to venture upstairs. But, there is a pergola on the 2nd floor that offers the same views. We loved staying here and wished we had longer to relax and snorkel. Absolute value for money, don't stay anywhere else.

There was nothing to dislike.

We booked for a week and ended extending one more day. The staff ate Lelit and ate Loding are very friendly and accommodating. The place is really good for relaxing, chilling, and just enjoying the beach, the pool, and the sunset. We were allowed to cook, which was really a good experience as we were able to go to the market and buy fresh fish and produce every day. It's definitely worth coming back.

Water pressure for shower, a bit weak. Good thing the faucet and toilet pressures were quite strong, and we managed to take our baths.

The view from the pool and the upper deck, which had rocking chairs to overlook the sea. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

We were in a room roadside, which was not a good choice for us. It was very noisy all night. Long buses come through that road 24 hours a day. That was our fault. They’re all rooms that face to see that I think would probably be a lot more quieter. The rooms were not maintained daily during our stay. The Wi-Fi is terrible and the TV does not work.
