First and foremost of course is the location - you are smack bang in the castle grounds !!, Don't be confused by the numerous similar names of various establishments around that area - the reception area is at the very beginnign of the path leading from the gate to the castle. Easy. Rooms are located on the other side of the same path. There is parking, and while the rooms are simple they are comfy and clean. The very good restaurant is right across the path (20 meters from my room). Portions are hearty and very good. Breakfast is served in the same lovely area =a good one. All in all - you can't beat it - quite an experience. And the price was very affordable to boot.

Since the rooms are IN the palace area =- once people start roaming the place (around 9AM ) it is no longer quiet.

My favourite part of the stay was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, even going so far as to buying flowers (for my anniversary) and leaving them as a surprise in the room for my spouse

I liked everything about the hotel. I know some people complained about the air conditioning not working, but I am sure it’s because of the age of the building and it’s upkeep. The room wasn’t that hot and I was here in July. Just crack open the windows and enjoy the mountain air. :)

The hotel is located right beside the castle and it's cool to have a walk around in the evening and get back to the hotel quickly. Delicious breakfast, nice beds, good bathtub.

It would be better to have shampoo/gel but not only foam. There was no a glass for water in the bathroom. Also there was lack of small spoons while there is a tea spot in the room.

It’s in a castle teritory and this is an experience itself. Nice evening walk in the area. We took a late evening guided tour and it was great to come back to the room as it was quite late. I would say it is not a hotel to rest, but to visit properly catsle’s area, as it is very busy and noisy area from 8.00 to 22:00.

Breakfast is good but margarine is served instead of butter. Never seen it in my life in 3x cheeper hotels.

We arrived a little early; but our room was ready and the receptionist personally walked us to the room to show us the location. She then helped us purchase the necessary tickets to visit the castle and the horses. The room was large and we were very comfortable. We had dinner at the "Donkey's Gate" 10 steps below the room. I am a dessert/chocolate connoisseur; and their chocolate/orange cake with whip cream and ice cream was one of the best desserts I have ever had. Breakfast at the hotel was also nicely presented ~~ a large buffet with many choices. The goat eating the roses on the Castle lawn on our way to leave completed the perfect stay. (I don't think you should expect the goat every day); but the food, polite receptionist and rooms will be there.

Amazing place. The hotel is right next to the castle. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. It had a bath with a shower over it - it's great to have the option of a bath. There were a few places in the complex around the castle to eat in the evenings. The castle itself was stunning and the grounds beautiful. The breakfast was well stocked and varied.

Not close to shops for walking (okay if driving).

The presidential apartment is spacious and well finished. It is well located, as it’s in the center of everything (with the crowds and even a long line for the bathrooms, it’s very convenient). It’s equipped with a fridge, coffee maker and water kettle.

It states that it can sleep 5 on booking, however we were told we would have to pay extra for the additional bed and breakfast, because the apartment sleeps only 4. In the end we were not charged for this additional cost. Breakfast is a hit or miss. If you go past 9, the selection is so so. If you come at 8, the food is much better. We also experienced many dirty plates, mixed in with clean ones one day, and were told that they have a new person who doesn’t know what they’re doing… Overall it’s very nice, great location, but pricey.

The room is was good for the price. The area and the castle are fantastic. The breakfast had a good selection to choose from. We visited the castle and did the underground tour which was well worth doing .The accompanying audio guide was one of the best I've had.

Awesome location right outside of the castle. Great sunset and seeing the castle lit up after dark was wonderful. Room was comfortable and staff were helpful and friendly.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely meals in restaurants. Great value.

Paid for a suite, which was very nice, but was right above the restaurant, and people sat on terrace till around midnight, which made it hard to sleep.
