Very clean, very helpful staff. Small room but reasonably well equipped. Great big thirsty towels and quality bed linen. Use of the indoor pool and jacuzzi is great although there is a strong smell of chlorine. Reasonable cost to hire pool robes. Simple but fresh and abundant breakfast. The gorgeous Vidago palace garden is across the road and can be accessed for 30 minutes a day. The gate keeper will let you in for a walk (and spring water when Font 1 is open). Several good eating places that we walked to. The Balneário Pedagógico de Vidago is a few minutes walk away and is an outstanding spa with spring water. Really reasonable prices and outstanding service and professionally trained staff. Maria José at the information centre is also an outstanding local.

We didn't realise (or perhaps remember) that autumn/winter meant no restaurant or bar. I think it would have a great atmosphere in summer.

A second pillow would have been appreciated for comfort

The location was by far the best aspect of this Hotel. The outdoor pool is very nice and the extended opening hours of the coffee/bar are convenient.

The temperature of the water in the indoor pool was too cold, as cold as the outdoor pool. The bar didn't have that many snack options and during one of the nights no options at all apart from chips in a bag.

No water or tea making facilities in the room (or somewhere freely available). Traffic passing the pool is very noisy. Breakfast was very basic and the cereal options limited to cheap sweet choices. If you don’t eat pastries or cheese for breakfast, there’s not much to eat

The staff was very kind and helpful. Great location, with stunning scenery. The room was cute, clean, and the pool looked fantastic but the temperature outside was 9⁰C, so maybe next time.

Would have preferred a hair dryer and iron in room, but accessible at front desk.
