We booked a simple double room as we spend very little time in it. We were offered an upgrade but didn't think it was necessary for our plans for our 4 night stay. The hotel has a spacious pool area with plenty of loungers and a pool bar serving snacks and drinks. Breakfast was excellent as were the evening meals we had in the restaurant. The staff were extremely pleasant. Situated as it is on the top of the hill the views from the pool area and restaurant looking down on the Zezere barrage and beyond into the hills are stunning (pity about the windmills but they're every where now). We parked the motorbikes opposite reception but the hotel provides ample parking to the one side. The best access road is not the one opposite the fuel station which is narrow and steep but further along - still quite steep but wider - at the cobbled T junction go right.

Absoluley nothing.

An excellent place to stay on a cycle tour, especially one following the N2 which runs close by. The hotel is on top of a hill (so the final 1km is rather steep!) with superb views over the reservoir and valley below. Bike storage was absolutely no problem: we were invited to leave them in reception, though a locked room was also available if we had wanted it. Great pool!

The final 1km up to the hotel is a bit steep to ride up at the long of a day on the bike! But the views from the top make it worth it!

Amazing view from the room, nice outdoor pool and lovely views from the restaurant. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff at restaurant and reception were polite and friendly. I can highly recommend the octopus salad, it was amazing!

Dinner at the restaurant was ok, however I was expecting more traditional portugues dishes. There were some unexpected flavours.

Location, food, view, swimming pool, the staff was very nice and helpful.

I was craving for chanfana, which is a local dish. It was only possible as a meal for 2 persons. I doubt that it was fresh cooked since it cooks for a long time. Therefore, the restaurant could heat it up just for a person and boil the potatoes that are served with it.

The service at the pool bar was to slow, we notice a big lack of experience with the staff. The drinks were not good, for the price.

The limited menu for the half board option, not the entire menu was available as a choice, which limited a lot when when you end up staying a few nights.

Quiet location, room was good and comfortable, clean facilities and food in restaurant was very good (a la carte). Helpful to park motorbikes in front of reception.

Bed was standard double (smaller than used to) but not a big deal, would have been nice to have some cheaper non a la carte food options and be clearer that must book in the restaurant.

excellent hotel. spent 3 nights here wonderful evening meals and breakfast. a real treat. lots of good motorcycling routes on the doorstep

Very good hotel in a nice location. Staff is always there to help. Professional and friendly without being fake.

Maybe a little investment needed in the gym.
