The property is really nice just like the photos, the room was very comfortable with a couch, excellent air conditioning and a mini fridge, definitely book one with a balcony or outdoor space if you can, it was so relaxing! The bathroom and shower can’t be beat, the water pressure was excellent. There is free parking a block away so that’s no worry if you come by car. You can walk to the beach and everything in town. The breakfast was very good, staff were friendly and I would absolutely recommend!

Just be aware there’s no elevator, the lovely owner helped with our bags to the second floor! Thank you again!

The location was wonderful, in a picturesque street near the castle and ferry. The room was nice and there was also a lovely patio for use of guests. Plenty of choice for breakfast including really delicious home made cake, eggs etc. Shower was easy to use and effective, powerful (useful to wash all the sand off!). Hostess gave us really helpful information on buses and where to go, and great restaurant recommendation, very responsive.

This is a remote village so phone data is slow in the area and the house wifi did not work well for us, so it was frustrating to get online and took a long time to wait for things like photographs to download. Plan for only having basic internet use or not much at all - this could be a positive if you want to get away from it all! Not enough sockets in the room if you have multiple gadgets that need charging up.

this well-run guesthouse is  in an excellent location  in the old town close to the beach and steps from a very good restaurant.  breakfast is ample and the cakes and wine in the late afternoon are a nice touch.  A friendly helpful staff makes for an enjoyable stay.  with luck you’ll get a parking space right in front of the guest house or just a few feet further down the road but if not at the start of the road, there’s a dirt parking lot it’s probably no more than 300 level feet away

Everything: - The room was the perfect size for a couple, including a very big and clean bathroom with all amenities included. - The breakfast was nice, with eggs and bacon on request, fruits, juices, milk and cereal, toast, and freshly made cakes. - The staff was impecable, always attentive and excited to give recommendations, including for an amazing restaurant with good traditional food a few steps from the hotel.

The bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was good but missing that extra something. A bit pricey for the 2 nights that we stayed based on what you get and what you would expect for that price.

Very clean B&B, friendly super helpful staff, large room with comfy bed, an outdoor seating area (some with river/ocean view), great breakfast. Parking no problem (mid May) and we were able to store our bicycles securely on the owner’s patio nearby. FYI: the owner also offers fully furnished rental apartments with stunning views in a separate building across the street.

Wonderful accommodations- clean, comfortable, great patio. Excellent renovated bathroom. Very short walk to beach, market and restaurants. Lovely breakfast, delicious cake made daily that could be enjoyed all hours! Very sweet and nice staff. Very quiet and peaceful.

We liked everything

Beautiful apartments in the center of Vila Nova de Milfontes. The owner is extremely helpful and hospitable. Location is perfect. The served breakfast is nothing fancy but still very good. The overall vibe is cozy and home-y. All-day snacks, cakes and wine are served in the common room.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The dining room was very pleasant and offering cake and drinks at no extra cost was a nice touch. Maria couldn't have been friendlier. All in all, this was a great place to stay in a central location.

There's little to fault. There are probably less expensive options, though Vila Nova de Milfontes seems to be a popular place, and we can see why.
