Everything! The rooms are spacious, the pools are heated, the staff are all helpful and friendly. The beds are very comfortable and the sheets get changed every day. We also did half board and were impressed by the quality and variety of food, we didn’t get bored even after a week. Use of the spa is complementary and is a good size with everything you’d expect. Everything has been thought of already, from little things like chocolates appearing on the bedside table before bed to pool services providing as many towels as you need right by the sun loungers. You can charge everything to your room so you don’t need to take anything with you except your room key. The location is an easy walk to the Vilamoura marina if you’re after some nightlife/cheaper cocktails. Albufeira and Quarteira are within very easy reach by car (although we did walk to Quarteria through the marina/beach a couple of times. An Uber back was €5). We also did the tasting menu at Makris on the Lake, which was amazing; getting the wine flight is a must! It will run to €200pp but for a special occasion it’s worth doing. I really can’t emphasise enough how good the staff were, you really got the feeling nothing would be too much trouble and the high level of customer service really sets this place apart even more so than the facilities or quality of the food.

Being very nitpicky, a couple of times there was a wait queuing up to get into breakfast, but it ran from 07:00-11:00 so there was no rush.

Room was too small for 2 people, it was quite dark and depressing not somewhere you would want to spend time in. The balcony was tiny again you wouldn't want to spend time on it. The pools were nice but we didn't go in them as the kids staying at the hotel had the monopoly on both pools and we thought there was an adults pool but there wasn't, also the spa was 30 Euro's to use and should of been part of the facilities, on our last night the air con wasn't working either. The sun chairs were lined out to close to the person next to you a bit like sardines.

The rooms were comfortable and spotless with all the usual extras that you would expect for this standard hotel. The breakfast was excellent with very attentive and friendly staff. The outdoor facilities were great, all set in a perfect location - two minute walk to the marina or a two minute walk to the beech.

The only slide disappointment was the outdoor activities for elderly children / families. There’s a covered outdoor area with a tired pool table and table tennis table. The pool queues are barely usable and the table tennis bats were almost square as they’d been battered that much. Looks like an after thought to put something there, either don’t bother or put something there that is supervised and maintained

SPA, Breakfast and bar. The treatment menu was very good and the price was reasonable. Staff were very friendly.

Did not like smoking smell from the other balcony. When we stayed last time in 2018, the hotel gave us a little treats for my husband birthday (a birthday cake, fruits and a bottle of champagne) but there was nothing this time in 2023 even though the reception staff noticed when we checked in there will be my husband birthday during our stay. We did not expect anything but a little disappointment. It used to be more personal for the guests.

Location, building & grounds well designed. Good access to beach, golf courses & marina . Very comfortable pool loungers. Lovely interior furnishings

No Adult only zones were clearly marked . This would would have been appreciated. Breakfast on 1/9/23 was very noisy & uncomfortable. Families are also more comfortable away from adult couples in a family zone .

Everything about the hotel is superb. The breakfast choice is amazing. The decor of the whole hotel is tasteful and relaxing. Sun Loungers are well spread out and the grounds are beautiful. The pool restaurant on the lake is lovely also with a terrific menu. The staff very friendly and attentive without being over the top. Room very comfortable.

We had booked a room with a garden view and sadly we had a room overlooking a dusty road which was disappointing.

Activities- the yoga, Pilates and canoeing were great! Food was really good- normally don’t like buffets but gustatio’s was excellent Overall very peaceful, clean and relaxing Lots of swimming pools

Not enough sun loungers unfortunately Children playing loud iPads etc at dinner and my pool with insufficient supervision No adults only pool exacerbated previous point! Makris had very limited opening times- only 3 days a week for lunch- odd given a lot made of it on website

The rooms were very modern and the bar area was very relaxing and nicely furnished. The cocktails on offer were excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were excellent and really did everything to make our stay memorable and enjoyable.

The coffee at breakfast wasn't up to the standard of a 5 star hotel, but that's being picky. There was a queue to go into the breakfast room after 9am in the morning, but we were there during a busy period.

went for our first anniversary and were met by the concierge taking our bag. we arrived at reception around 10am, early for our check in and the kind young lady took us for a tour, firstly to the restaurant where breakfast was being served and to our suprise, arranged for us to eat which was just so appreciated since we had been up since 3am! it shouldn't have been available to us until the following morning but they were so accommodating. the food was fantastic, so much choice and all very clean and wonderful choice of places to sit. the coffee was great and you could have anything from healthy fruit and veg to has browns and sausages! we were treated to a gift in our room of a lovely bottle of Champagne and chocolates and spent most of our four days by the pool which is special. it has sand and is so warm. plenty of space to find a bed and a bar and restaurant open during the day. one day there was even coffee cocktails from a little stall for free which was a nice touch. so many great things to mention but don't have space. but really the staff were so kind and friendly and just seemed like they wanted to help and wanted to be there. they were meticulous. we would definitely come again. thank you to all staff especially Marianthi and Soraia on reception (sorry if names are not spelt correctly!).

slightly slow on the pool bar and quite expensive - a beer is 9/10euros.

Difficult to find a negative but if I had to say something then the sun umbrellas in the garden are a little small and are immovable, so if 2 people want to be in the shade at the same time then can be difficult :)
