Customer service is high quality. Food is delicious, with traditional dishes and deserts. In case of a rainy day like I have experienced in Oradea, you have an indoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness studio. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the bathroom has a bidet. Breakfast TO GO is also an option. I needed to checkout at 3AM and still was prepared for me.

nothing bad to say. Only a mention of the parking place. The underground parking area is a bit small for a larger car but the upper area offers plenty of space. The personal was again helpful to assist.

Location cannot be beaten! Facilities, comfort and all, spotless clean! Breakfast was, as always, best ever! I mean it! Breakfast at Maxim offers you and idea about Roumanian hospitality. We appreciate response of management to our previous feed back!

This was "perfect" stay!

I liked the size of the room. Large and spatious for a hotel room. I finally found a pillow that served the scope (very rarely in a hotel) and the bed was comfortable and of king size. The air conditioning made its job and the temperature during night was perfect for a good sleep. The breakfast was various and it had almost everything. Almost, because the offer for drinks was water only, so I missed the juice of any kind. I also enjoyed very much drinking my morning coffee in the small garden. They also have a swimming pool which you wouldn't expect in such a tiny space (in the middle of the town).

The bathroom was not perfectly clean and the tiles reminded me of old times. White and so simple, just like we could found 30 years ago.

Good location closer to city centre, big room, cosy and comfortable, great breakfast, nice and helpful staffing. Acceptable SPA, good fitness centre. WiFi works OK. To notice a great terrace.

Overall I have no big complaints, maybe my expectations were higher. Anyway 2 things to be improved: 1. Parking place is too small for a higher numbers of cars or for SUV (technically is impossible to use the underground parking). Lucky us it was holiday and public parking nearby hotel was free of charge. 2. I'm not sure if the vintage furniture was intended or not but the hotel and rooms looks like in '80 (furniture seems to be new but design is old). As well there are missing some things to consider the hotel as 4 stars being closer to 3 stars than 4. Consequently the price could be a little bit lower to compensate the difference and to cover the public parking fee (8 lei/ hour Monday - Friday 7-22). As well some improvements on SPA area will help.

at 06.30 (I was clearly informed from the reception that breakfast starts at 07.00) seeing that the restaurant is already open I went in and asked to take 1 croissant to go (I had breakfast included in the reservation).... the result, I was invited (basically the lady shouted at me) outside the restaurant...... I don't want to be misunderstood, I know I was out of meal hours, but I had no intention of staying to eat in the restaurant. Although the overall experience was a very good one, a discussion with the lady would be desirable, so as to realize that the attitude towards customers should be different

The proximity to the city center. The restaurant that was open on terasse. Good food. Swimming pool indoor.

The bathroom needed serious renovation : marks of infiltration on the walls, the shower cabin was very outdated and seemed dirty even though it was cleaned. The breakfast was limited in food options.

We loved the location. A nice quiet street, very close to the city center, and we could go everywhere by foot. The breakfast was also nice, with various, good quality options (not so great when it came to jams and coffee, but the rest compensated). It was nice that it had private parking, tight as it was. The pool nice, water very clean and it also had a small but practical gym. Our room was quite large with a big window facing the street.

Overall, I'd say it's more of a 3 star hotel given the general shabbiness. The bed was quite uncomfortable due to the lumpy spring mattress. Soundproofing is quite terrible: you could hear a lot of noises from the adjacent rooms (the vibrating of a phone, plugging and unplugging appliances,..). The bathroom, though generally clean, had several areas that had not been thoroughly cleaned/scrubbed (e.g. some gunk at the shower doors, on the toilet seat hinges).

Very clean and spacious room. The temperature was optimal and could be selected based on personal preferences. The gym is a good thing to have. Beautiful furniture (solid wood) and a feeling of warmth in the rooms.

During the night, the water in the swimming pool revealed that it wasn't really clean. It looked like it has residues from people's noses. There should be swimming equipment available to buy/rent from the hotel. The wooden structure holding the roof of the swimming pool seems like it needs reinforcements as it is a bit rotten. Also, rust is present on the air conditioner units. In the shower cabins from the rooms there were signs of moldy surfaces (such as those between the ceramic tiles). Better cleaning is required there. The food at the restaurant is almost ok (the potatoes were not cooked enough). Too expensive for the quality.

The hotel was ok. Breakfast was sufficient and ok in terms of quality. The service was impeccable, the staff very attentive and helpful. The existence of the indoor pool with extended hours (7:00-10:00) was a big plus for me.

Excessive heat in the room. The temperature in the room and especially in the bathroom could not be set lower. The heating system is central and although it wasn't very cold outside, some guests were probably a bit more fussy and asked for this temperature (over 25 degrees Celsius in my opinion).

The location was excellent for me, in between the train station and the city centre. The room was a lot larger than I thought so that was also a plus. I thought that the bed and pillows were very comfortable and wifi worked great.

The hotel is a bit dated but I for sure can look past that! The breakfast wasn't very good for a vegetarian but there was a wide selection of deli meats and other types of meat dishes for the normal folks :)
