As newlyweds embarking on our much-anticipated honeymoon, we were fortunate enough to spend a blissful seven days at the Viceroy at Sugar Beach in St. Lucia. Nestled in an extraordinary location, this luxurious resort offered breathtaking views, impeccable service, and an abundance of amenities that made our stay truly unforgettable. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the awe-inspiring beauty of the surroundings. The resort is situated in a picture-perfect setting, with lush greenery, pristine beaches, and the majestic Pitons serving as an awe-inspiring backdrop. Every moment spent admiring the vistas from our room or strolling along the private beach was an enchanting experience that surpassed our expectations. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the option of having our own private pool. It provided an intimate and romantic setting for us to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy each other's company. The poolside service was exceptional, with attentive staff ensuring our every need was met, creating an atmosphere of true indulgence and relaxation. The addition of a personal butler elevated our honeymoon experience to new heights. Our butler was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay special. From arranging romantic dinners on the beach to providing helpful recommendations for local excursions, their presence added an extra touch of luxury and made us feel truly pampered.

It is important to address one aspect that fell short of our expectations: the dining experience. While the resort boasted several dining options, we found the price of food to be exorbitant and the overall quality underwhelming. If you plan on eating exclusively at the resort, be prepared to spend a significant amount of money. A daily expenditure of $400 to $500 for food alone (excluding alcohol) can quickly add up and put a strain on your budget. Although the food prices were a downside, we must highlight that there are alternative dining options available in the nearby towns and villages, which provide a chance to explore local cuisine at a more reasonable cost. We took advantage of this opportunity and were rewarded with some truly delightful culinary experiences.

Superb staff. Very professional and friendly at the same time. Every request was met with "no problem" The food was of a very high standard with imaginative menus. Would look forward to returning here.

Our room was close to one of the internal roads and there was a lot of traffic noise. On one morning the vehicles passing by included a concrete mixer lorry and another lorry carrying building materials. They should explore using quieter, more environmentally friendly, electric vehicles.

Everything was awesome. I arrived by boat, they greeted me, and transported me in my bags to my room. My check-in was practically non-existent because the check-in is done with the butler in the room, and so I didn't have to do anything at the check-in office. It was literally the fastest check-in I've ever had at a five-star resort. I popped champagne immediately in the room and got two conversate with my butler. He was great. They give you a little phone so you may contact them 24/7 and they will assist with anything that you need. The resort is beautiful. The cocktails at all the bars were delicious. Food was great. And I love the live music and various bands that they had. This place is full of all the conveniences to make your vacation stress free and maximize your enjoyment. All of the facilities were quite nice, and the gym is spacious. The room (house) that I was in was very spacious and had its own private pool. The bed was incredibly comfortable, I slept so well!

Breakfast buffet was decent although there should be more variety of cheeses. The croissant were very good but the bread was fair at best.

We really enjoyed our stay but 2 things left a bad taste: We were charged $150 per person for the Friday night barbecue which is very steep for average food. The second was on our departure date we asked if there is food available at the airport. Our butler said no. So we ordered sandwiches to go. We were charged $100 ( including $18 delivery fee to the room ) for a mediocre chicken club and a hamburger. Not a pleasant goodbye for an otherwise wonderful vacation celebrating our 25th anniversary.

So the one and only thing I did not like was my ability to use a drone to capture my experience. I had the approval of the country Ministry and this was my opportunity to not only gather beautiful photos and videos of the resort, but to showcase this on my platforms. I was able to get some but then was met with some resistance.

Facilities were generally good. Creole evening was not well organised and very little explanation provided on how to proceed. The other restaurant facilities were a good standard, albeit quite expensive.

I think that the breakfast cost should have been included within the accomodation. We were paying for everything individually which made eating in the hotel very expensive

The property is stunning. Such a beautiful location with a beautiful hotel complex built on it. We went on honeymoon and had the most amazing time. the hotel have an incredibly high level of customer care and service and the staff from the bag handlers to the butlers are exceptional. i couldn’t recommend this property enough.

The beachfront bungalow was one of the most spectacular rooms we've ever stayed in! Everything from the lighting, to the beachfront access to the heated pool was beautiful! Our butlers were so helpful and attentive, they really added to the experience! Offsite excursions didn't open up until our second to last day on the island but our room was so relaxing and luxe that it wasn't really a big deal. I recommend this room to any expecting mothers looking to visit the resort. We were within walking distance from everything but the gym.

Limited dining choices due to Covid (French influenced cuisine at the restaurants on the property). Also, menus had limited choices which wasn't pregnancy cravings friendly. We had plans of eating at other restaurants/resorts but were unable to because of the hotel not encouraging mingling with other guests off the property.

loved the property. all the restaurants were excellent. the beach was beautiful. the staff was kind and lovely. the room was beautiful. they also had various activities available around the island which were fun and convenient. cannot want to go back

The room was wonderful and the facilities were similarly excellent. The hotel is carefully set out in the natural landscape and the views are great.

The beach is not private and occasionally some slightly rowdy tourists would turn up.
