Stunning location, like staying on a film set, especially in the snow! Well-marked short estate walks of 3km and 1.5km. The National Park was lovely and we enjoyed walking the short distance along a track to Mustoja beach which was completely isolated. All of the staff we met were lovely, especially the ladies in the dining room. A really atmospheric, relaxing trip.
A couple of touches that I'd expect from a 4* were missing, such as large bath towels and facilities in the room to make hot drinks, especially as our room was in a building away from the main manor. The Finnish sauna and spa treatments weren't available (fair enough as it is winter and not enough visitors to make it worthwhile to open, but that was one of our main reasons for booking).

Lovely hotel! We started our journey through the Baltic states here, coming from Tallinn’s airport, and we were immediately impressed by Estonia’s beauty along the way and especially at the Manor and its surroundings. Especially during the Autumn season, it’s simply just beautiful!! The trees are magnificent, the foliage is so bright and colourful, it’s stunning! You need a rental car, but there’s plenty of parking spaces available. The staff were top notch, very welcoming and professional, and they spoke very good English at the reception and at the restaurant (we ate at the hotel the 3 nights we stayed there). The grounds are worth a visit, it’s so pretty and peaceful… Your room will probably be on a separate building, so don’t unload your car before you check in, to avoid lugging your things around. Also, there are steps to most rooms and to the breakfast/dinning room, so be aware of that (you’ll also have to carry your luggage to your room, so pack light). Our room was very spacious and comfortable as you would expect from a rather old building. There are heaters and the bathroom had a heated floor, which was welcome since it could get cold at night. However, the shower head tends to swivel and you can easily wet all the floor, so a fixed shower head would have been nicer. Also, the cleaning service is only done if you ask so, for ecological reasons, but with the dirt and little stones that you bring attached to your suitcase and shoes (even if you take them off before coming to the room), I think a vacuuming is needed almost every day. The outlets by the bed are also not very accessible, but apart from these little details, we had zero complaints. The restaurant was also very good. There’s not a lot of options, but there’s something to everyone, and the portions are very generous. The mussels were especially delicious!!! And the cheese platter can feed a family of four, almost!
The shower head and some flies on the seating room of the suite.

Comfy beds, nice rooms. Bathroom - great even with massage bath. Great breakfast, excellent surroundings, nice for a walk even if staying on premises. SPA center has enough variety for good time spending. Over definitely a place where to return.
Apartment that I booked was on the first floor and upstairs neighbors were with small kids, so 'little elephants' disturbed our morning a bit. While overall SPA is great I felt that a bit too much chemicals where added to water (usually not allergic to pool cleaning chemicals) so if you tend to be on sensitive side - take care. We did not book a al carte restaurant up ahead and were denied (our fault obviously), but some suggestions from staff where to eat nearby would have been nice.

We loved staying at Vihula Manor, unfortunately only one night... we will surely be back and stay longer because the place deserves to be explored, enjoyed and embodied! Dinner was an amazing culinary experience, service very good. A big hug and thanks to Iris working at the restaurant, she made every request possible with a gentle smile, my kid loved her! Breakfast was rich and beautifully presented. Everything clean and arranged even though it was rush hour and dining room was full. Coffee was good even though from an automatic machine. We stayed in a Zen room, in the Vodka distillery building. Very simple room, but beautiful manor atmosphere and our window was right over the river and the sound of the water was a gentle and relaxing music for us.
A little bit more attention to cleaning. I informed the staff at the reception, so far nothing major.

The stay was just amazing: peaceful surroundings with a lot of opportunities to walk and relax. The spa is good and cosy. The place is well-organized for families with kids. Amazing scenery and a lot of beautiful views. The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable, and even staying with 2 kids was just really fine, enough place for everyone to relax and enjoy. Kitchen was delightful, both restaurant and breakfast.
Everything was just fine, maybe too many people during the stay, but this is just because the place is so good.

Accomondation was great, and the complex is pretty. The lady in the reception was helpful and very friendly.
The younger lady at the bar (worked also in the restaurant) was exceptionally mean. We sat at the library with drinks before the dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty. When we arrived for dinner about a quarter after the reserved time, she welcomed us by saying "you're late". I believe she should learn to behave in her profession towards paying customers.

Location is great, room is nice
No vanity kit, no kettle with tea/coffee in the room. For a hotel of such level and for the price we paid I didn't expect such basic stuff not to be there. Also there is no cleaning by default, you have to ask for it. Again, for the hotel of such a level daily cleaning is a basic thing. I expect to come back to a room that is nicely cleaned /beds are made every day, that should be done by default, because it makes an absolutely different impression about your stay.

It is my favourite part of Estonia and I come here often and have visited Vihula manor and its surroundings already as a child. But it was my first time to stay for the night and it was just great! The sauna-pools part is extremely nice and well taken care for. Room was big, our 4-member family fitted very well there. Outside walks-buildings-mini-golf, everything so beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast was rich and delicious. Dinner exceptional!

Beautiful mansion and garden area with lots of things to see and do. Good place to relax, take a stroll on the bridges around the pond, visit museums and enjoy the historical atmosphere. Room was very clean, spacious and bed was extra comfortable. There was also a fridge and a fan in the room. Spa and saunas were free to use all day long. Breakfast was good. Nice location for shorter and longer bicycle trips.
The room had a pretty damp and hot air. There wasn't any supermarket or kiosk near by so all meals, snacks and drinks needed to be bought from the hotel, with hotel prices. Also all services cost an extra.

- This is a place for those who like a nature. Really beautiful place to be closer to nature. - There are two small museums you can visit to get a closer look at manor history. - There is a small shop with local sweets/honey/tea and souvenirs. - Possible to visit swimming pool and sauna center. - Also can rent a bicycle to get a small trip around or you can take a boat to make a small trip on the river. - Good location as you can visit nearby places like Rakvere castle or Toolse castle etc.
- we took a Zen suite, but it didn't meet our expectations. It was too dark and was not so cozy and comfy. Was more like standard room. No design flow, dusty artificial plants, all furniture is placed just to be there. In my point of view could be more better and stylish. - same breakfast everyday, very basic things offered.
