The hotel is highly recommended to anyone wishing to visit Asuncion. All the staff speak English and are very friendly and flexible. The rooms are really very clean, directly comparable to hotels in Europe. The pool and the view from the roof terrace are also beautiful and you have peace and quiet. The price-performance ratio is also excellent. I paid the bill for the hotel at reception and it was about the same price as advertised by Booking (about 50 francs more), which I think is great.

It is important to know that the hotel is in a rather hectic area of the city. I never walked through the city without a local. I deliberately avoided walking at night as I don't know how safe it is around the hotel, as it is quiet different to what I am used to from Europe. However, I never felt unsafe in the hotel. With UBER you can easily get anywhere without having to be afraid. As it was my first time in South America, I had some concerns about my safety - but the Hotel Palmaroga was the right choice in this regard.

Such a nice hotel. Very comfortable and we loved having access to a gym and pool. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff are all very attentive. Loved this place!

Towels at the pool and gym were not always replenished and I had to do without. The gym could be configured differently to put the treadmills under the Aircon and the weight section on the other side of the room. Maybe a weights bench instead of two bikes. Just some suggestions!

We were quite pleased with our 2-night stay at the Palmaroga Hotel. The hotel's location is well-suited for sightseeing in the Centro Historico area of Asuncion. Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious enough, and quiet. Breakfast, consisting of a wide variety of hot and cold offerings, was both tasty and presented well. The internet worked well. And during a very brief power outage, a generator kicked in to provide backup power.

Hotel is extremely beautiful and stylish. Rooms are large and there is coffee making facilities. Curtains are thick and room is dark at nights. Excellent tv with many international news, sport and movie channels. Hotel is centrally located along the main shopping street. When I was there street was blocked from cars and hence hotel was peaceful. Breakfast was more than excellent. Hotel's cafe, where the breakfast is served, and restaurant are gorgeous. Personal was very helpful. At hotel there is also small gym and sunbeds on the roof terrace.

The 1st floor os beautiful. Breakfast is good and big, room is comfortable and clean. It has a pool on the rooftop, its close to all the historic buildings of the city and Costanera. There are good nearby restaurants. I was able to do early check in and late check out.

At night the area outside might not be safe, but its the time you want to relax and stay in, so its fine.

Absolutely unbeatable stay in Asunción. Value for money might be the best in any accommodation I've stayed over the years. Such comfort and luxury for such an affordable price! Location is superb, smack in the middle of the old town. Everything is walking distance - can't recommend it more to stay in this region.

Breakfast could have a few more options!

the hotel is beautifully, nice design and beautiful common areas. breakfast was very good ! it’s well located in the center, if you’re looking to stay close to Asunción historic buildings it’s the place to go . the hotel staff provided support when finding a tour to visit surrounding towns.

Reception staff is not very warm when welcome nor provide information about the city itself. be careful when charging food or drinks to the room as we got charged things we didn’t asked for. we were given a very small room although the hotel was clearly not fully booked, the room didn’t even have a desk (unlike the picture in booking)

Very helpfull staff!! The hotel was amazing! The room was cleaned daily and both the room and the towels had a lovely smell!!! The people at the reception were spoke english so they made our life easier!! Great stay overall

The curtains in the room did not block out the light from the indoor pation… this is the only downside which of course did not affect our stay!

Our room was unusual in design, the suites wall was glass overlooking an atrium on the first floor above reception.Quite noisy at times. Curtains for the glass wall were not adequate, so privacy was a little compromised

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good, and Sunday's was exceptional. The rooftop pool was nice with a good view. Easy walk to the main plaza. The restaurant (Maria?) had excellent food.

The surrounding neighborhood was pretty run down.
