I simply loved the large bed and the welcoming was heart warning especially when I was allowed by Charlotte to book into my unit a bit earlier than usual.

I am well aware that the unit could possibly have been a family unit but it would've been nice to have the TV setup in the bedroom rather than in the open plan kitchen/lounge area due to the cold environment. There was no electric blanket even though I've only noted later on the evening in the instructions manual that they offer warm water bottles which must be ordered from the office and I wasn't prepared to go out in the cold again.

I have stayed here before and find the rooms very comfortable. This trip I had time to enjoy the garden. I really enjoy the coffee with the plunger that is in the room. I had breakfast this time and it really was a treat. The staff and the owner are very friendly and make me feel very at home. Enjoyed the conversation over breakfast. Did not want to leave.

I had hundreds of midgies that got in even though the doors and windows were kept close. Would have appreciated some insect spray to deal with them. Besides nature having a go at me, I have no complaints.

Spacious with 4 separate singles in 2 bedrooms. Separate lounge and dining area with table to eat as a family. 2 separate en suite bathrooms. Pleasant and helpful staff. Missing a stove in the unit BUT staff were so kind to assist with making my eggs for breakfast for my family then used my chalet for my toast and coffee and enjoyed a lovely breakfast with a view of the mountains near the pools. Short distance off the highway with safe parking inside the premises next to the chalets.

Bathrooms are dated and could use mixers on the zincs and the wooden floors and noisy. However since it’s spotless it’s not a big deal and has an old school charm to it as well. I’m just fussy I know.

From the day that I made a booking, I called to check if all are in order and if my booking were received, I was assisted by a very friendly and helpful person who assisted me in getting the booking finalist. This was the highlight of my booking. I will always refer people to book at this guesthouse.

Staff needs to get more training on how to speak with guest, when they want to raise concerns they must speak to the person that made the booking and not with the other guest. My personal affairs were discussed with the guest i booked a room for. I'm really not happy about this. I asked for a baby cot was told that they only have 1 cot which were in a room that was booked by someone and no arrangements were made to take it out. Even though I'm unhappy about the above I will still refer people to book at this guesthouse.

Was informed via WhatsApp there would be load shedding, it was a bit difficult to find in the dark. I was met in the street, in the cold by a staff member, i was give a hot water bottle and told beside heaters there was solar power. Staff warm, helpful and friendly. Old world charm, including ground coffee and plunger in room, really made my morning. Bed comfortable, had the best night sleep. Will definitely stay here next time I am in Graaff Reinet

Load shedding in Graaff Reinet. Lights went out as I drove in it got really dark, not the venue's fault. The venue would only change the mirror in the bathroom , small and a bit awkward to use. Beside that most comfortable, enjoyable stay.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, an excellent breakfast served in the room, beautiful well maintained garden with pool, over all good value for money, we will definitely be back!

We travelled during a very hot period, there were fans in the room but an air-condition would have been way mor eeffective during this hot weather, could also work well for heating on cold winter days.

The family room was big, clean and comfortable. Great beds and shower. Little details in the room that made it very liveable. You can have breakfast in the room if you order beforehand. Parking behind gate.

The staff were not really that friendly. It was almost like you were imposing on their time. That's a great pity. However the managers were friendly and very accommodating.

It was fine for a one night stopover.

We asked for a room for a disabled person and to be able to park the car nearby and we were assured that we would be given an appropriate room. When we arrived we were given a room that was far from the car and had a number of steps to negotiate. They could not give us another room.

The B&B is well-located: a small oasis on a quiet street, withing walking distance (during the day) from the town centre. My ground floor room, traditionally decorated, was of generous size and comfortable, and I appreciated having a kitchenette. The room was attached to the main house, and though it was not a room with a view, I could sit on the front stoep of the house. Breakfast with Judy (the owner) in the morning was a highlight of my brief one-night stay. I would return to 4 Rothman Street.

The host was pleasant to deal with and accommodating, shared loadsheding schedules and even when we had a challenge after hours, they were available on the phone. Hot days , pool well maintained my kids enjoyed the afternoon swim

Breakfast order cut-off times not communicated on arrival, this would assist guests.
