This place is truly a hidden treasure. You wouldn't expect a tropical feel and look in the middle of the bushveld. The views and gardens are breathtaking. The rooms were comfortable and ideal. The pool area with the chairs was lovely. The food was good. Holo, was amazing and assisted us so well

Alfred, the one staff member was rude while we were checking out at reception. There was a lot of confusion on their end, especially when it came to adding things to the correct room tab. However the whole situation could've been handled in a better manner and with patience and kindness

The breakfast was really good and a large selection in the buffet. The staff were attentive and kind, they responded immediately to any concerns we had. The hotel was kept clean and comfortable, it was very peaceful.

In our room the bathroom tap was leaking, which should be looked at because the leak was quite bad. The geyser was very hot so we accidentally burned ourselves because it was too hot. It would be nice if there was more staff on hand, the staff were working in all areas in the hotel. They were all very attentive, but they seemed overworked so I hope that more staff are employed to help with this.

The peaceful, beautiful gardens, stunning interior, and extremely friendly, helpful staff, nothing we asked for, was too much for them. They went out of their way to accommodate all our needs.

We were disappointed in the breakfast, as I read raving reviews on how great it is, but we were told that due to the low number of bookings during our stay, they did not do a full buffet, which is understandable, but still had to pay R700 for 4 people. We had Fruit & Yoghurt, scones, Egg, bacon, sausage, beans, toast @ R175 pp. Dinner was amazing though from the menu.

Oh wow!! What was there not to like..... from the moment we entered the front gate up until the moment we left we were treated like royalty... everyone there was sooo friendly and enviting the hotel is an absolute wonderland of little footpaths and hiding spots.... Ginger the cat made our stay so special and made sure we arrived safely for breakfast and dinner like our own personal little butler the staff brought little Ginger some kibble as well and that was defenitely one of high points... To the staff : thank you is not enough.... We will DEFENITELY return for another stay!

There is NOTHING TO NOT LIKE........

When you need time out from the city, this is the place to visit. The atmosphere was so tranquil and refreshing. The staff in the kitchen and bar were so amazing and attentive. The young lady at the reception on the following day was a perfect representation of customer service; a complete contrast from the one we found there.

The lady at the reception really needs customer service training or a complete change in attitude, she was unapproachable, seemed uninterested and every time I spoke to her it felt like I was bothering her.

The receptionist was very nice and helpful , they gave us a complimentary upgrade which was very nice and appreciated. The room was clean , dinner was so good but breakfast was very nice. The smart tv is already connected to Netflix no need to log into your own account

There are cats everywhere and I am terrified of cats . The chairs in the room are not comfortable, the shower didn’t have shower head . The glasses in the room are very small it would be nice to get decent size glass.There was no cold breakfast options or pastries .

I liked being outside and surrounded by so much green! Their breakfast was nice and there was ample choice for the three days I had it.

The staff is not rude but not friendly either, their service could be improved. The place doesn’t have mini bar fridges or simple things like complimentary water in the room. Their muffins always looked like they were baked by an unwilling person, and sometimes they were very hard and not tasty. The room I was in wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, only swept. I could feel the dust on my feet when I walked barefooted.

Peaceful quiet location. Clean and comfortable rooms, some rooms only have showers, so if you prefer a bath you'll have to specify on your booking. Breakfast was lekker, and the area is well set up. Luxurious restaurant and bar, pricing at the restaurant stings a bit but the bar is affordable. Enjoyed the fireplace, it's big.. There's room for everyone. But the cushions are wearing out. Some fresh one would be great. There's back up in case of load shedding. No running out of water, like in some hotels.

The entrance gate sometimes got stuck open when electricity went off due to load shedding. At least install a camera at the gate to monitor if it's closed or not, or have a security personnel to ensure there's no unauthorized entry. Otherwise no issues!

We were tired and booked while we were on route. When we arrived, it was love at 1st sight. I loved everything from the reception to the room. A hiden gem. Will definitely book again for a weekend. The photos are not doing any justice to the place👌👌

When we got to the gate, we had to wait as the pin we got after booking did not work. We called the number written on the gate, but it just rung unanswered. It was dark, and we felt unsafe. The drive from the gate to the facility needs some maintenance

The location, facilities & in a beautiful setting. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We arrived at 18h30 from Botswana & left at 06h00 for home in Howick the next morning so didn't have an opportunity to explore more which we would have loved to do. Before we arrived we tried calling the number on the website to say we would be arriving late but kept on saying it was incorrect.( We did advise the front desk staff of this) We looked at some of the negative reviews on the website, but could not fault anything- the staff professionalism, very comfortable beds, more than adequate bathroom & lastly great & tasty meals ( Hake ,chips & veggies & a lasagna)
